(20) Hazel

Maxwell's POV

It has been a while since someone took care of us without even realizing it. Last time was when she was there for us. She was unbelievable and mesmerizing. She will always be a part of me. I still remember our first kiss, how she blushed and how annoying but yet sweet she was. Now she's nothing but just a memory. I miss her so much! I see so much of her in Karoline.

When Kare made dinner for us, everyone was surprised including me. Not everyone is genuinely good to us and if they are it's only because they want something, for girls they want to fuck us and guys want to be popular. But Kare is different, she is the first who hasn't tried to seduce anyone or create a scene to gain attention. Sure she is a nerd but she's a different kind of nerd.

It's hard to understand her because she confuses me a lot because like the time I expect her to keep shut, it's the time she speaks up like during the bumping with Blake, I thought she would apologize and walk away but she stood up for herself even though Taylor was nagging her to back out. Then the time when Blake's dick was hurt she kept quiet. Not even a single word was uttered. I knew she might have kicked him but don't know the reason. However, I really expected her to say something "You deserved it" or any of that sort.

It was already late and most of them were even sleeping and Karoline was one of them. The only people awake were Jason, Jay, Blake and I so we had to carry these heavy assholes to their room. Jay spoke "I think we should now just go to sleep. Gosh I am tired!" I replied with a yeah along with others. "Who is carrying who?" Jason asked. "Well you for sure are carrying mason, that guy is heavy!" Jay replied. Soon Jason took Mason, Jay took Alex and Blake took Aiden. Now there was only Jax and Kare remaining and being the laziest one out of the group, I waited for someone to come down.

Thankfully, Jay and Blake both came. "I will take Kare" Jay said and well as I was shipping Blake and Kare I wouldn't allow that. "And then you say that there is nothing going on between you two. Huh?" I said to hit his nerves. Everyone knew each other's nerves. That's the perk of living together for more than 5 years. "FINE! You take her to my room then." He replied as he left with Jax. See I knew where to hit him exactly.

"Well, I ain't carrying anyone so Blake you take her to Jay's room. Good night!" I said and quickly left but I didn't miss Blake's mutters such as "Why is he always bossing me?" "I will let him go this time" "What am I supposed to do with this tiny thing now" "Ahhhhh"

I went up with a smile dancing on my lips. I don't know why but I think that Karoline can help him fight his demons, can bring the old Blake back, can change him for the better. I will do anything for Blake, for the promise I made. To make my task easier I see that Blake is also interested in her. He always tries to get her attention but poor lad fails miserably.

Blake's POV

Finally Jay decided to bring an end to this movie marathon. I looked around to see most of them sleeping. . "Who is carrying who?" Jason asked. "Well you for sure are carrying mason, that guy is heavy!" Jay answered. Within a few minutes Jason took Mason, Jay took Alex and I took Aiden. Max probably was waiting for someone to come knowing that he is so lazy.

Being the good guy, I laid Aiden beside Alex and went down to see who's left. Jay came down with me. There was only Jax and Kare remaining. This asshole couldn't even carry one of them! "I will take Kare" Jay said "And then you say that there is nothing going on between you two. Huh?" Max said and I really don't know what he was trying to get from that because it got under Jay's nerves. "FINE! You take her to my room then." He replied while leaving.

Is it because he has a liking towards her? Well, he surely has been sweet to her since the start. I was planning to go as Max got what he wanted but stopped as he said "Well, I ain't carrying anyone so Blake you take her to Jay's room. Good night!" He said and quickly left. As much as I would love to leave her here but I didn't want my morning to start with 3 monkeys on bed i.e. Jay, Max and Karoline.

Why is he always bossing me? I will let him go this time. What am I supposed to do with this tiny thing now? Ahhhhh. This surely is annoying. Moreover I don't understand why he would do that. That guy is just so unpredictable.

Now we were the only ones in the room. I bent down and examined her to make sure that she is sleeping. I gently took her in my arms and carried in the bridal style. I stiffened as she moved afraid that she's awake. However, she just moved her body closer to mine and her head further towards my neck. This position was very comforting but I had to lay her in the bed where she would be comfortable. I carried her all the way up. She wasn't that heavy which could be easily guessed after looking at her tiny self. Although she can eat more than Mason as well! Wonder where all that food goes..

I opened the door and laid her on the bed, wrapped the blankets around her and took a seat at the corner of a bed. She surely got some guts because no one dares speak back to us and as per the time she has spent in Westbrook, Taylor must have told her. I know Taylor because of Aiden's girlfriend, Selene. She goes to Westbrook as well. She is good, pretty without any attitude. I can see why Aiden easily fell for her. She isn't like others.

However, her grandfather passed away so she's gone to her homeland for a while. She will probably be back by Monday, I guess. Taylor used to be her friend so Selene used to force her to sit with her at our table and we didn't mind it. Taylor is much like her too. She is cute, sweet and attractive but none from us went for her as Selene made it clear.

So when Selene will be back, Kare will probably sit with us as they would make a trio. Selene, Taylor and Karoline. I need a nickname for Karoline. Kare is just not it. What shall I call her? Sweetie? Nah that's odd. Then Tiny thing" nope sounds weird. Then "little one" no. Then what??

What about HAZEL? Yea that would be perfect as her eye color is even hazel. Yup that's a perfect name. Satisfied, I stood up and left to go to my room...
