(12) Chemistry Partner?

Karoline's POV

I opened my eyes as alarm rang disturbing my sleep. Ohh gosh another day!! its not that I hate my life but some people just make it really hard and one of them is obviously Catherine. The worst is that I don't even know what I did for her to hate me so much. Anyways leaving the thoughts behind I got dressed up. I wore light pink jeans with a hoodie, grey shoes and backpack and finally the nerdy glasses to complete the look.

I honked at Taylor's door and within few minutes I saw her figure approaching towards me. She looked pretty as usual and greeted with a big grin and a brief hug which i returned. After her unstoppable blabbering about Catherine and her minions, we finally reached Westbrook. How badly I wanted to go back to sleep but I couldn't because I have to keep up my good grades not just because I am a nerd but also because I want a good life ahead with good qualifications. I mean education is a key to success. 

We chatted for a while and then saw few damn ass good cars rushing in and my face snapped at that direction. Once parked, those guys came out. I am still wondering what they were doing at the street fighting place.

 "its not like they are one of those good boys type." my subconscious said.

Taylor pulled me to our lockers just when the bell rang. I had chemistry and she had another subject which I barely heard because she went. I head to my class and quickly took a seat as I didn't want any drama with that bitch. I was more than glad that I didn't see her around and happy to know that she didn't do chemistry. After a few minutes, everyone was settled and then Mrs.Forbes entered (chemistry teacher). She kinda looked strict with those glasses and a straight face saying don't-mess-with-me.

We started the class with a bit of introduction so to get to know each other as she likes to put it that way. She started talking about the experiments we will be doing this semester and will most likely be appointed with partners for the whole year i.e. no change of partner. She removed her list of names and started saying names

"Jones with Sarah"

"Sophia with Alexander"

"..."

"Jayden with Karoline" 

I looked around to find him looking at me already. Well yeah I got to know his name during the 'introduction'. 

"Go sit next to your partners. The experiments start from today and some of them might be given as your assignment so you and your partner need to do it together at your own free time." Mrs.Forbes said.

I looked towards his direction and saw that he was walking towards me. With a small smile on his lips and a hand offered for me to shake, he said "Hey, I am Jayden. How are you?" I shook his hand and said "Karoline, good." he took a seat next to mine and before he could say something Mrs.Forbes cut him by saying "You have to submit your work by next week Friday. I will leave you now so that you can get to know your partners and decide timings for the experiment."

"So my place or yours?" Jayden asked

"huh?" I asked not quite understanding what he meant.

"Get your mind out of the gutter, for the experiment. Though I don't mind us doing something else" he said with a smirk on his face.

I looked at him and rolled my eyes. "My place." I replied shortly.

"By the wayy, you can call me Jay I don't mind." he offered. "And you can call me Karoline."

he looked at me with amused eyes "rude, ain't we?" " Well, since your my partner, you gotta bear it." "ohh, don't worry I definitely can." He quickly replied.

 "Ohh we'll see about that." I said and went as the bell rang. I don't even know how I will handle his flirty behavior and wonder if i will be able to even pass in chemistry with him being my partner. GOD helpp mee.
