Beca would be speeding down the road towards the school on Friday afternoon, after she had lost track of time while sat at home finally starting to write some new songs. "Shit, shit, shit.. I am so dead", she'd quickly pull into a parking lot as she'd hear people cheering from the field behind the school. Beca would grab her phone and keys after turning off the car, slamming the door and locking it before then sprinting over to the field where everyone was stood watching the soccer game.

A COUPLE MINUTES BEFORE

Chloe would look down at her phone again for two reasons. She checked the time to see if the game was about to kick off early so Beca wasn't actually late and also to check if she had any messages from Beca about why she is late. Noticing that the game was on time, she'd sigh and look over her shoulder once more for Beca.

"I don't know why you're building your hope up again Chloe", Jesse would mumble next to her as he'd have his arms crossed, watching the teams warm-up in front of him.

"Stop it Jess", Chloe would roll her eyes as she'd look back to watch Alex running around with his team.

"What? Come on Chloe.. She let you down before it's just a matter of time till she does it again and I'm not going to just stand here and watch it happen"

"Jesse! I said leave it!", Chloe would snap her head at him, turning to face him with her own arms crossed now. "Alex wants to get to know her and that is all that matters right now"

"Hey guys, I'm so sorry I'm late", Beca would run up to them making Chloe turn back around to see the singer breathing heavily with a slight worried look on her face.

"Typical", Jesse would mumble once more as he'd roll his eyes before walking off to take his seat.

"You're not late, it's fine", Chloe would smile at her trying to take the attention away from Jesse storming off. "The game is just about to start though so let's go"

"Hey Mom!", Alex would come running over to them both now, wrapping his arms around Beca's legs as he'd reach her.

"Hey little man!", Beca would pick him up, turning him upside down as she'd hold onto his ankles. "You ready for the big game?", she'd smile as she'd listen to him giggle. Chloe would also smile as she'd watch the two of them interact together.

"Yeah I'm gonna go and score", he'd turn and hug his other Mom quickly before running away back onto the field as the game would start.

"Is he any good?", Beca would follow Chloe over to the seating area now.

"Just sit and watch", Chloe would sit down next to Aubrey, smirking as she'd watch Beca sit closely next to her now, resting her arm on the back of the bench behind her. Turning her head to see Aubrey raising an eyebrow at her she'd then notice an empty space next to her best friend, "Where's Jesse gone?"

"He went to clear his head for a minute, he'll be back soon", Aubrey would quickly glance at Beca before turning back to the game.

"He needs to get over whatever is getting him like this", Chloe would mumble back to Aubrey trying to be as quiet as possible so Beca wouldn't hear them.

"Can you really blame him Chloe, we all saw what you was like when-"

"Alright alright, I don't want to talk about this right now"

"Look at him go, he's so quick", Beca would point out towards the field. Chloe would follow her finger to see Alex running down the wing with the ball. He'd run past two players still with the ball as he'd make his way into the box before taking a shot which fizzes past the goalkeeper into the net.
