Beca would be scribbling something down quickly as she'd hear the school bell ring and start seeing children running out of the front doors of the elementary school. She'd stand up and look over her shoulder to see her son walking out with his backpack slung over his shoulder. "Hey Alex", she'd smile down at him and his friend that was walking beside him.

"Hey Mom", he'd smile back at her before turning to say goodbye to his friends.

"What you doing?", Alex would point at the table with forms and lists spread out across it.

"Huh? Don't know what you're talking about?", she'd look up as she'd take a clipboard and would hide it behind her back.

Alex would smirk a little and try to take the clipboard from the singer, "Then what are you hiding behind your back?"

"Wha-what? Behind my back?", she'd act like she wasn't hiding anything as Alex would now wrap his arms around her waist to try and grab the clipboard. "There's nothing in my hands", she'd smirk.

"I got it", he'd stretch and grab the clipboard, "I got it", he'd smile taking it from her and looking down to read it. "Wait, why is my name on this?", he'd look back up at his Mom.

"I signed you up for the school talent show", she'd take the clipboard and put it back on the table. "You could play guitar now that you've been getting really good at it, if you wanted?"

"Yeah sure", he'd shrug his shoulders and start to walk with his Mom down the street.

"Yeah? All right!", she'd smile while walking beside him.

"Will you play with me in the talent show?", he'd glance up at Beca.

"Uhm..", she'd think about how it was a month away and whether or not she'd still be there at that time, "Yeah sure, if that's what you want buddy", she'd ruffle his hair making him laugh and push her hand away.

The two of them would continue to walk down the sidewalk, walking past Beca's convertible. "I couldn't use Grandpa's car today so we're just gonna walk home", she'd mumble as she'd continue to walk past her car.

"Why is the car seat in there then?", Alex would stop walking as he'd point at his car seat that was strapped into the front seat of the convertible.

"W-well I put it in there just in case, but I'll just pick the car up later, come on", she'd nod her head in the direction of the sidewalk.

"I wanna go in the car", Alex would walk over to the door, waiting for his Mom to unlock it so he could climb in.

"You want to go in the convertible?", Beca would raise an eyebrow as she'd unlock the car and then watch the young boy climb into his car seat. "What about all that stuff of it not having a back seat?"

"Sometimes you've just got to break the rules", he'd shrug his shoulders as he'd clip the seatbelt in. "Hurry up Mom!", he'd laugh at her still stood there in shock.

"Alright alright, sorry", she'd quickly walk around the front of the car to get into the driver's seat, turning the car on and speeding away, laughing as she'd listen to Alex scream with excitement next to her.

The whole drive home they would be singing along to the radio. Sometimes Beca would just listen to Alex, glancing over every so often to watch him smile and sing every word of the songs playing.

...

Chloe would be looking over the dress she had borrowed from Stacie for her date tonight. Alex would be in his room next door playing with his toys while she was getting ready. She'd look at her hair in the mirror which she had curled nicely, and the light makeup she had on. Getting up and walking over to the dress she'd run her fingers over the material, taking in the dark blue colour.
