Robin started to reach for the phone, but I held her hand. We still needed more information. I missed what Callan had said, but then he continued speaking, "so why didn't you tell anyone else, or even the girls at least?"
"Because, if I told the adults, they would have said something like, 'oh, ok, we're gonna go check, you stay here.'" Ryan answered "And I didn't tell the girls because I don't want them coming with us. I don't want them getting hurt. Kelly's impulsive and Robin's not the best for secret-spy missions."
"Uh, I agree with you on the Robin part, but Kelly? Bro, she's like awesome to have on these type of missions. Yeah, she's impulsive cause of her ADD, but that's also sometimes a good thing. I know for a fact that she never counts her ADD as a weakness." "Ok that's a good answer." I said to Robin.
"Still, I think that we shouldn't tell them, we can do this on our own." Ryan announced. At this point, I really couldn't take it. Honestly, they have no hope of doing this by themselves. I told Robin to come, and I grabbed the phone and headed for Ryan's room.
I opened the door quickly and said, "Ryan, if you actually think you can do this by yourselves, your thoughts are very mistaken." The boys kinda just sat there as I walked in and sat on the bed, while Robin first grabbed her phone then did the same.
"Umm..." Ryan started, "We weren't talking about anything..." "No, we were listening, tell us what you know." Robin countered. "Fine. I'll tell you, just promise not to tell any adults."
Ryan waited until we promised, then said, "Ok, so you know how the black swan used to have Alluveterre, but Keefe gave the leaping crystal to Fintan?" "Yes..." I said, knowing where this was going.
"When you were talking to Tam, I saw a bit under his cloak, and I saw a pink leaping crystal, the same color crystal to get to Alluveterre." Ryan finished, sort of in a whisper voice.
Everyone sat there in stunned silence. We, the young kids, could save them. But, we will need help, we couldn't do this ourselves. "So who are we gonna ask to help us?" I asked. "We obviously can't take on the Neverseen ourselves. Not an adult, though."
At that moment, someone knocked on the door. Ryan said "Come in." The Sandor and Grizel stepped through the doorway. "May I suggest," Sandor started, walking over to us, "that we help?"
"Seriously, you guys were spying to?" Callan asked. "Yes." Grizel answered in her huskier tone. "With Fitz gone, it is my responsibility to protect you, Callan." Then Sandor added, "As it is mine to protect Kelly And Ryan." Ok then...
"So, you can come with us to get them back?" Robin asked. "Yes, but are you sure that you don't want to tell the adults first?" Sandor asked. "No" We all answered. "Alright, so be it." Sandor sighed.
"You might want to add one more person though. We might not have enough back up." Grizel suggested. "Oh, I know." Callan started, "let's ask Dex if he can help us." "Great." I said. "So lets go ask him now."
"Not now." Sandor said as I started to head for the door. "Let's wait a little bit first." "Fine." I grumbled. Sandor kept talking, "Now, first of all, you have no plan of anything. Me and Grizel will wait outside."
"Actually, let's go up to my room. I have better stuff for making plans up there. Do you even have paper in here Ryan?" I commented "Uhh, sure..., but let's go up to Kelly's room." Ryan said suspiciously.
We all went back upstairs with Sandor and Grizel at the rear, and once we were all inside, they shut the door and waited outside. I went over to get some paper from the bottom of the six drawers near my desk. "Woah." Robin said. "Is that all art supplies?"
"Yep." I answered, grabbing four pens from the second to last drawer. "Wow." Callan said. I walked back over onto the bed, handed out pens, gave Ryan the paper, and got up onto the bed, looking over the edge to see the desk.
"So, first of all, how are we even gonna get there?" Robin asked. "We could ask Linh if she had one." Callan suggests. "Good idea. Let's ask her once we ask Dex, so that she will probably trust us more." I added.
And on and on it went, until sunrise. They had agreed that they would split up into three teams, because we had three bodyguards, including Dex's bodyguard, Lovsie.
"Maybe we could like, I dunno, yodle outside there base and ambush them when the come out to check for mentally insane lumberjacks," Callan suggested.
"I don't think that would work," said Robin as she facepalmed.
There was talk about zip lines, goblin shurikens, ninja moves, and even putting Iggy in there as a stink bomb. All of which were ruled out due to lack of supplies, or just ridiculousness. (Most of which came from Callan.)
"Umm, what about something that could actually work?" I asked sarcastically. "Oh come on, let's just send Kelly in there and she can crane kick everyone!" Callan asked.
"I hope your not serious" Robin commented. We stayed there for about five more minutes, with Callan spouting crazy ideas like a water fountain. Some of which included Crazy deranged barbarians, grappling hooks, hypnotizing(I don't know how he would do that) and more, like ziplines, farting unicorns, a super duper Iggy stink bomb, and dancing Sandors dress.
Then Grizel came in and said, "I think that Robin and Callan should be heading home now. Let's go to Everglen tomorrow to discuss more, and Sandor and I will be helping to plan. We will also ask if Dex and Linh can come tomorrow."
"Yeah, before I head over tomorrow I'll take him with me." Robin confirmed. "And I'll hail Linh tomorrow to tell her to go to Everglen." I added, jumping off my bed. "But, we should all be getting home now. So I'll keep these papers here."
I scooped the papers from the desk in front of Ryan, and put them on the art desk, which is in the corner next to the door, so I wouldn't forget them.
As soon as everyone left, Sandor came back up and said, "I hope you know that what your doing is very dangerous." "I know." I responded, "I just think that if it were Sophie in this situation, she would do the same for us."
"I suppose you are right." Sandor commented. "Now, you better get to bed so that we can keep planning in the morning." And with that, he walked out, leaving me alone.
