"Now." Grady said, as soon as Ryan and I had changed and come back downstairs. "Let's decide on your punishment." We both groaned. Edaline was upstairs getting Sophie into bed, and she would be back down soon.
"Why do we need a punishment?" I whined. "We got everyone back and everyone will be safe." "Yes, but you went off to a place that could've been overrun with Neverseen, and Robin got severely hurt, Callan and Sandor both are knocked out because of Shadowflux. It could have been worse." Grady argued. "And, yes, I understand that you had three goblins with you, but still."
"Sorry, but we knew that we would be fine. And we are. No one had permanent damage, and we did what we went there to do." Ryan commented. "Well, it wasn't that bad, but you still should have as least told us that you were going to get everyone back!"
"We know. Now, can I go to bed?" I asked. Grady sighed. "I guess so. But you'll be staying in your rooms all day tomorrow, and then the next day you both will be helping me bathe Verdi. And no phones for a week."
"Nooooooooo." Ryan and I whined. As we were about to go upstairs with Grady following, he also added, "and I'm taking Ryan's Xbox controllers too. You can both keep your imparter, since you can't play games on it."
Ryan groaned "Fine. I'll go get everything." I went up to go and get my phone, then came down to the kitchen and put it on the counter. Once I was back up, I got in bed to go to sleep, cause it was like 1 am.
In the morning, I got up to go into my closet and get dressed. After, I reached into the back corner of the closet, and hidden by clothes was my school iPad. I had hidden it, for cases like this.
No one knew that I brought it, well, I guess that Callan, Robin, and Ryan might know, because they had all brought theirs, considering that it had been in our backpacks anyway, but I don't know why they would ever think about it.
I had forgotten to give it to Dex to make solar powered, but it still had about 50% left. I think that Ryan had made a router for WiFi, so I open the case and went to settings. Thankfully, there was a network, so I connected to it and then went back to the home screen.
I discovered that, apparently, since the school no longer has control over my iPad, there was an App Store on the home screen. I immediately went onto it and downloaded all the essentials, like YouTube, Roblox, and some smaller apps that were just good to have, like Hole.io and Shortcuts.
Then I realized that some apps needed money, like Minecraft and Robux for Roblox. So I went over to my desk, because I was still in the closet, incase Grady were to walk in, and hailed Ryan.
It rang a few times, but then he picked up. "What." He asked flatly. "How long have you been up?" I asked him. He didn't look like he just woke up. He was already dress, like I was, by I hadn't bothered to do my hair yet.
"About half an hour. Now, why did you interrupt my game of flippy race?" He asked "Because I need some money on my iPad. I also need it to be solar powered, but I don't trust you with that. So can you add some money from not being here?" I said.
"Yeah, I guess. I already put some money on mine, so what I can do is just put some of that on yours." After he finished speaking, he started asking a bunch of questions about my iPad.
"Ok, done. You now have $100 on your iPad." Ryan told me. "Thanks." I responded. I spent the rest of the day doing cool new things on my iPad, and also drawing a little bit.
By the next morning, I had basically every app I had on my phone and more. After helping Grady give Verdi a bath, Ryan and I changed, then I went to his bedroom. "So, what do you want to do today?" I asked him. "I don't know." He responded.
"Oh, I know, let's go to Atlantis!" I exclaimed. Ryan asked, "Why?" "What else do you do in Atlantis? Let's go SHOPPING!" I told him with a huge smile on my face."Ugh, fine. But only for a little bit. Go get your imparter and meet me downstairs."
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay." I shouted as I left the room. Ryan was waiting downstairs like he said, and then we told Grady where we were going. As soon as he told us 'ok' we left.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
In Atlantis, we mostly just went to random stores buying stuff. I realized that I didn't really have any formal clothes. Since dresses are the absolute worst, I only got some. I mostly got suits, (because yes it is a thing for girls to where suits ok.) and because, like I said, dresses are horrible.
Later, we went to get lunch at a restaurant, and then got something that looked like ice cream at a stand near the unity fountain. A little bit away, I spotted four kids, chatting and laughing. Three girls and one boy. They looked about our age, so I went over to say hello.
"Hey Ryan. Ima go see if those kids will be starting Foxfire next year to." I told him. "Ok, I guess. I'll come." So we both walked over to them. "Hi." I said. "Will you guys be starting Foxfire next year?"
They all looked at me, and the boy responded, "Yeah, we will. Who are you? And who's that guys standing behind you who looks really nervous?" We all laughed, except for Ryan. "That's Ryan, and I'm Kelly. Who are you guys?" I questioned.
Now, at this point we are going to pretend that I never mentioned Hannah and Jonah near the beginning of the book, ok? Ok.
This time, a girl with pale skin, shoulder length black hair with bangs and glasses covering her grey-blue eyes responded, "I'm Luisa, that's Jonah," she pointed to the boy, who had medium brown hair and turquoise eyes, "that's Sophia," she pointed to the shortest girl, who had long, black hair and silver-blue eyes, "and that's Hannah." She finished, pointing to the last girl who had long, black braided hair, dark blue eyes and dark skin.
"Well, hi." I said. "Do you wanna hang out with us for a bit?" asked Hannah. "Um sure." Ryan said. "So, how do you guys know each other?" Luisa asked. "Uuuuh." I said. "Give us a minute." I stepped away with Ryan and asked him, "should we tell them that we're adopted?" I asked him, "No, that not a thing in the Lost Cities other then Sophie and Wylie. We also have to say that we're twins because we're the same age."
We turned back to them. "We are twins. Is that ok with you guys?" Ryan asked. "Oh, yeah, that's fine with us." Sophia answered. "So how do you guys know each other?" I asked them. Then they explained that their parents were all friends and they've known each other since they were little.
After that we just kinda chatted together for a little bit. We were just talking about each other's likes and dislikes, when I got a hail from Grady. "Sorry, I have to get this." I said, stepping away a bit to answer. "Yeah?" I asked him. "Can you kiddos come home now?" "Why?" I asked. "Sophie just woke up." He answered.
"Ok, I'll come home." And with that, I hung up and went back over to where everyone was talking. "Sorry, but Ryan and I have to go now." I told everyone. "Ok, maybe we can hang out again sometime?" Jonah asked. "Sure, I'll hail one of you when we can." I responded. We all said goodbye, and we left, me carrying my bags of clothes.
So, I introduced these new people! Yay! Anyway, SOPHIE WOKE UP! let's see how that turns out. Bai!
