We all stared at him before he said: "I will become the warrior of darkness from final fantasy I forget which number!" Suddenly he stepped forward and started gathering shadows in his hand. He had an insane look on his face. It looked like he was out for blood. We all took a step back. I tried transmitting to him, but he was blocking me. He raised his hands above his head and... put it down.
Suddenly he started bursting into outrageous laughter. He fell down and rolled on the floor while gasping between breath. We just stood there, expressions of total shock and confusion. "Ah ha ha o ah, you should have seen your faces, ah ah ah ah!"
Suddenly, all the puzzle pieces clicked into place. Callan had manifested as a Shade!
After he calmed down, I told my realization to Ryan and Sophie and Callan confirmed it.
Wait a minute!" Exclaimed Ryan. "What the heck are you doing in my room though!" Callan grinned. "Well, he started. At around 11:45 in the night, Ryan was still awake working on a project. He opened the window to get some fresh air and that when I snuck in, unnoticed because of my new shade powers. I thought it would be funny to prank you guys".
"What Project were you working on, Ryan?" Sophie asked. "Um," He said. "Its this stupid idea..." He started. "No, tell us" Sophie pressed. "Well, it's a thing... you can record everything that you see in your brain using wavelengths that your brain sends out and converting them into..."
I transmitted into everyone's head to fall asleep when I say go. Ok I transmitted. Go. Everyone fell asleep and Ryan stopped talking. "Ugh" He rolled his eyes as I started laughing. "Ryan we don't understand any of that stuff," Sophie commented. "Can you make a heated toilet seat?" Callan asked. "Um," Ryan turned red, "Sure," "Yas finally, I get a heated toilet seat. I couldn't find one in Atlantis!"
"Wait one second," I asked. If you got in here at 12:00AM. That means you've been sitting there for..." "Many hours," confirmed Callan. "Alden's gonna kill you,'' said Sophie. Callan grinned, "Yup I'm looking forward to it!" *sarcastic tone*. "Anyway," he said. "Let's get some breakfast, I'm starving!"
Before we went down stairs I noticed that he was wearing a brown cloak with black human pants and shirt.
"Where'd you get the outfit?" I asked. "I had the gnomes make it for me. Can I use your bathroom?" He asked Ryan. "I haven't peed since I left Everglen at umm I think 9:00pm yesterday?" "Um sure I guess..." said Ryan. Callan came out a second later in regular elf attire and a satchel over his chest. "He's planning to save that outfit", I thought.
We all nodded, still a little shocked still. We all went downstairs, and a thought hit me a little too late. It came to me right when we got downstairs, and we saw Grady, Edaline, And Alden standing in the doorway. "Well, I was just about to say that you should have just snuck out the window again,'' I sighed.
"May I ask what Callan is doing here?" Alden asked. "Um, I wanted to prank them" He replied. "And how did you prank them?" He asked. "I snuck through Ryan's window then hid in the dark," "Is there anything else you'd like to tell me?" Alden said. "Um, I manifested as a Shade,"
A bright smile lit up Alden's face. "Well, congratulations Callan," He praised."Now the rest of you go, I need to talk to Ryan, Grady and Edaline in private." Ryan turned pale. They walked into a room and we all put our ears against the door. I heard muffled voices. "Ryan, I told Grady and Edaline about your new ability, but I didn't tell them what it was yet." I could see Callan shadow creeping under the floorboards. Probably trying to get to Alden. I could hear Ryan say, "Um... I manifested as a Pyrokinetic."
Then the room went silent. The door burst open and we all acted like we were doing something. "Get out of my house." Grady told Ryan. "Now." Callan's shadow snaked back to him, and I transmitted get anything? No. He replied. Ryan tried to protest but Grady pulled him towards the door. "I, I can control it" Ryan protested. "No. I will never let another Pyrokinetic come near my family." Grady replied. "And that's final,"
