When we got there, we started to follow the loose plan. Me, Callan, and Sandor would go together to look for everyone, and I would be on FaceTime through my earbuds with Ryan, who was with Grizel and Linh, and Robin, who was with Dex and Woltzer.
"Ok." I whispered into the phone once the FaceTime was set up. "Ryan, check the boys tree house. Robin, check the ability training rooms. Callan and I will go to the girls tree house."
"Got it." Ryan responded, and Robin said "Yep." "Ok, Kelly, lead the way." Callan cheered. "Shh." I told him. I crept behind the wall and peeked around the corner. There was no one there, so I kept going, with Callan behind me and and Sandor behind Callan.
I was about to ask Ryan where he was, but then my phone screen went black. "Shit." I said under my breath. "What?" Callan asked. "Phones dead." I wispered back. "Imparter." He said, more like a question. "Oh yeah." I said, checking my pockets. When I didn't find it there, I responded, "Shit again. Forgot it at home." "Damn."
Suddenly, I heard a peercing scream. Obviously, I was terrified, because it sounded just like Robin's. "Stay calm, Miss Kelly, whoever it was has a goblin with them." What Sandor said would have been a lot more reassuring, if Robin didn't scream again after that. I cringed.
"We have to keep moving," I said, mostly telling myself, and walking a little faster down the corridor. Once we got to the treehouses, I went up the staircase leading to the girls treehouse.
We quietly climbed the stairs. I had my hand at the hilt of my sword, as did Callan and Sandor. I don't think that Callan actually knows how to use a sword. Did he ever learn?
We finally came across the door to the treehouse. Everything looked so nice and beautiful, it seemed wrong that evil villains would be using this place. Before opening the door, I looked at Sandor. He nodded, some I opened it.
Inside, we found a colorful waterfall, sorounded by a variety of flowers. But something definitely ruined the scene. Leading into one of the bedrooms was a trail of something dark red.
Blood.
"Well, the good news is, we probably found them." Callan wispered, also staring at the trail of red. "Yeah, but blood is never good." I commented. I riped my eyes away from it, and focused on walking toward the door.
"Ok, open the door in three, two, ONE." on one, Callan and I pushed open the door, revealing four figures tied up one the bed. In the corner, though, was another shape. Barely visible, but they were there.
Sandor and Callan started to draw their swords, but the figure was faster. He sent a black thing into their heads.
Shadowflux.
"Well, we meet again." The figure said, stepping out of the shadows.
Tam.
Another short chapter, but i would have kept writing if it wasn't such an awesome cliff hanger *laughs evilly*. Anyway, already working on chapter 19, so your welcome.
