Part 24

Triggers: Child birth, Labor

"Catherine! You and Keller need to here right now!" Logan yelled into the phone.
"Gee, a nice 'hello' wouldn't suffice for you Lo? Where is 'here'?" Catherine asked.
"The hospital, Patton's in Labor." Logan said.
"My baby! I'm on my way, I'll get Keller." She said hanging up the phone
"I called them, they're on their way." He said to the doctor.
"Okay good. I'm Doctor Camden if you need anything." They said.
"Okay." Logan said.

Logan went to go back to Patton, he had the wedding ring in his pocket. He was going to propose the minute that baby was born. He didn't want to waste any more time doing this. He sat next to Patton who was jittering.
"Hello, I am Doctor Lee, we gave Patton his epidural, he will be a little loopy and jittery, he is also on a lot of pain medication, he won't feel a thing." Doctor Lee said.
"Thank you." Logan said.
"No problem." The doctor said walking out of the room leaving only Patton and Logan in there.
"Logan! Look what I can do!" Patton said as he let out a sound similar to 'yee' while he jittered his mouth. Logan started cracking up.
"Love, you're too adorable." Logan said.
"No the fuck I'm not!" Patton said.

It has been about 30 minutes and Patton's parents came into the room.
"My baby! Are you okay? How many centimeters dilated are you? Did you get an epidural? Is the baby okay?" Catherine asked running up to him and holding his face.
"Yes, 5 centimeters, yes and yes, so far we think." Patton said.
"You're a brave man Pat." Keller said.
"I love you dad." Patton said.
"Love you too son." Keller said. Roman and Virgil came racing into the room.
"Is my dad okay?" Virgil said.
"I'm okay Virgil. I got an epidural so I'm in no pain." Patton said.
"Good." Virgil said hugging him, they were all happy.

A couple hours later, Patton was 10 centimeters dilated. 
"Okay Patton, it's time for you to push. You are going to push for 10 seconds and then take a breath afterwards okay? Don't be scared to defecate, that is good, it means you're pushing hard. Okay here we go." The nurse said as Patton started to push as he squeezed Logan and his father's hand hard, it didn't hurt it was just weird.
"Oh dear, go one more time I think something's wrong." The nurse said Patton and Logan started to panic, Virgil started to tear up and his fiancée consulted him. She counted down again.
"Yep, the umbilical cord is tied around his neck." The nurse said.
"W-what?" Patton said.
"Shh, no need to panic, as this is uncommon, the baby doesn't breathe until after birth. We will need two minutes to let Logan cut the umbilical cord. It's nothing too serious, he should be fine. Lets push again." The nurse said counting down "I think we have a child! The nurse said pulling him out of Patton and rushing over to the table Logan quickly followed, they let him cut the umbilical cord and they untied it. Patton was sobbing, everyone else was too, Logan was in disbelief that he had a child. They cleaned him up and swaddled him and gave him to Patton.
"H-hey kiddo." Patton said crying as he held the crying child. "I love you so much oh my god!" Patton sobs filled the room. Logan came over and kissed him, he was crying too, Patton gave him the child.
"H-hey there Thomas." Logan said. Logan was bouncing the now sleeping child in his arms. Virgil and Roman came over, Virgil had to take off his ring to be safe that he didn't cut the baby. Virgil was in awe at the child, they all swarmed around Patton who was being stitched up since they had to get him out faster.

A/N: Don't worry, I'm still going to do two more parts to the story and I may change some of the chapters.
