Zira sat on a flat rock comfortably surprised to see her daughter returning to her so soon. She hopped up and grinned to her.
"Ah. So my dear. How did the conversation go?", Zira asked genuinely.
"Oh well. It started with talking about my training. But before I left he said he wanted to talk to me again...In a more friendly way", Vitani said awkwardly. Even explaining it brought about that weird feeling again.
"Well, that sounds lovely. It seems that he has taken a real liking to you, Vitani", Zira purred walking around her daughter. With a little encouragement she could certainly aid in forming a lasting relationship between them.
"Y-you think so, Mother?", Vitani asked, feeling a warm blush spreading across her face.
"Oh yes. It's mothers intuition. I know that you spend a lot of time to strengthen yourself, but perhaps I should allow you more time for things more suited for a lioness of your age. After I knew sooner or later some boys would take an interest", Zira said softly sitting back upon the rock.
"Mother. I don't think it's like that", Vitani responded uneasily.
"But think about it dear. He's the leader in all of this. He has so much to do. Organizing the hyenas, setting up formations and needless to talk about the actual battle. Yet he says that he wants to talk with you again", Zira bringing up these points made Vitani actually wonder if her mother's words truly had weight to them.
Interest in boys? Kopa has in interest in me?
"I'll...I'll think about it, Mother", Vitani said softly. She turned around to return to the lioness ranks.
"Seems that everything is going exactly to plan", Zira sighed to herself as she continued relaxing upon the rock.
Back in the Pride Lands the main group was making more last minute preparation checks. Rafiki was making sure him and Makini were prepared for anyone who would need urgent care.
"You think that'll be enough?", Makini asked. She was very worried about her abilities. It was war and it was her job to make sure the injured in battle are healed. Even though nothing had started and there was no one injured she still felt the responsibility heavy on her shoulders.
"More than enough", Rafiki responded. He was assured that all will go well.
Meanwhile Kiara stood among her friends. While they were talking about how sharp their claws and fangs were, her mind was very unsettled. The situation they were in finally hit her in a very heavy way. "Uh, girls. I'll be right back", she addressed them and bounded off.
She looked among the ranks for the one she could talk to, who always reassured her in times of doubt of even fear. But she couldn't find him.
Where is Kion?
As she wove around Pride Landers standing their ground, ready to make moves at any moment she finally found the Lion Guard.
"Uh, hey guys", she greeted them.
"Oh, hey Princess Kiara", Ono greeted. The rest of the Guard looked to her. She looked to each of them. Betshe, Ono, Fuli.....He's not here.
"Do you guys know where Kion is?", Kiara asked.
"Oh yeah. Your brother went to go get water from the small pond near Pride Rock. He took Bunga with him", Fuli explained.
"Oh, okay thanks", as Kiara walked away she began to march towards the pond. She thought about what Fuli told her and immediately put two and two together.
Is now really the time for that?, Kiara scoffed to herself. She had to admit she was a little jealous that those two could comfort one another at a time like this. She only wished that Kovu could be here. That's why she needed to talk to her brother.
