Vitani returned to the savanna that previously hosted the great battle. There the animals from different sides were uniting. It was a sight that brought a smile to Vitani's face seeing the lions reuniting with the friends and family they left behind. But she had a reunion of her own, she scanned the area. She was sure that Kopa was somewhere around here and he eyes trained on him, standing alongside the queen Nala.

Without hesitation she walked towards him. She couldn't believe it. Her best friend from as early as she could remember, who she desperately wished she could find when he disappeared, and he was right in front of her all along.

"Kopa", Vitani said plainly.

"Vitani?", the lion turned and asked in surprise.

"Is it actually you? The same Kopa from all those years ago?", Vitani asked desperately.

"When we used to play games like hide and seek all day long. I remember I used to be really sad when the sun went down and you had to go", Kopa nodded.

"It is you!", Vitani smiled. "I can't believe it.... Why didn't you say anything before?"

"I couldn't. Not while she was still around", Kopa growled.

"Well...you don't have to worry about her anymore..", Vitani sighed. Kopa understood the meaning of what she meant. Though he was not saddened in the least about Zira's passing, he did feel for Vitani losing her mother.

"I'm sorry, Vitani", Kopa said solemnly.

"Thank you, Kopa", Vitani purred, making Kopa blink in surprise. "I...Uh, I really missed you."

"I really missed you, too", Kopa felt himself blush at the lioness' words.

In the outskirts of Pride Rock Kiara waited for Kovu to return, she knew he would. She just would have to be patient.

"Kiara!", the voice she was waiting for called to her. She turned around to see Kovu running up to her.

"Sorry about the wait", Kovu panted.

"No, it's okay, I'm just glad you're here now. Was everything okay?", Kiara asked the lion carefully.

"Yeah, yeah everything's fine", Kovu insisted.

Simba, Kion and Bunga were on their path on returning to the rest of their family.

"Hey, Kion! Bunga!", Kion slowed down and looked towards the origin of the voice.

"Kion! Bunga!", Fuli, Beshte, and Ono came up alongside them.

"What are you guys doing here?", Bunga asked.

"We were getting more wrapping leaves for Rafiki", Fuli explained.

"I'm glad you two are alright", Beshte smiled.

"I can see your marks are back as well", Ono observed.

"Yeah, everything's just fine now", Kion nodded.

"What happened back there?", Fuli asked.

"I'll give you guys the story later. But I couldn't have done it without Bunga", Kion chuckled.

"Aw, well...", Bunga sniffed.

"Alright, we got get back to Rafiki and Makini", Fuli said firmly. "Come one guys."

"You guys are amazing", Kion grinned with pride.

"Well we are the best in all the Pride Lands", Bunga chuffed. "Come on we gotta catch up with Simba.'

"Alright, alright", Kion chuckled, picking up pace to catch up with his father.

The three of them made their way back to Pride Rock to find Kovu and Kiara.
