"I can't tell you how much I've longed for this day", Reirei grinned as the front leaders of the Outlands were face to face with the Pride Land leaders. "When you think about it, it really is a fine day for bloodshed."
"Hey, now. Save some for the rest of us", Janja snickered.
"This is not your land!", Nala warned to the opposing side.
"And it's not going to be anytime soon", Kion put in.
"We'll give you this chance to stop this before it starts", Simba offered with a deep growl in his voice.
"You mean leave? Oh, but it took so much effort to get here", it was now Zira who was responding to the feeble attempts of the Pride Landers.
"You know I think we should just tell them why we have gathered here today", Reirei said.
"Well long story short: We're tired of being left in the dark with no food or water while all you hoity-toity Pride Landers are all out living the good life", Janja barked.
"You all think so high and mighty of yourselves. So perfectly content in watching the rest of us suffer", Reirei scowled.
"To forsake your own kind", Zira said narrowing her eyes at Simba. "The unspeakable cruelty."
"You know exactly why you were banished from the Pride Lands, Zira!", Simba growled.
"For the actions of my former mate? To place the blame on us and doom us to that hell on earth?", Zira shot back. "Is that how you justify your horrid actions?"
"You have sentenced us to a life of pain and torment all because of the mistakes of the past", Reirei argued. "It seems to me that you Pride Landers are the true villians."
"You're wasting your breath, Rei. These royal puffballs aren't going to listen to a word we'll say", Janja rolled his eyes. "There's no point. If we wanna they to feel what we feel the option we have is flip the status quo."
"Hmmm, take over the Pride Lands and banish them to the Outlands. A compelling idea", Zira agreed. Though in order to be banished, they'll have to survive first.
Kovu looked beyond his mother to see Nuka and Vitani. They made eye contact and Kovu could feel their gazed piercing through him. Nuka glared at him, baring his fangs. On the other side Vitani broke her stare, looking away with muzzle turned up.
"So we finally meet!", a new voice was heard above the rest. The Pride lions watched as the whole of the Outland Army split to let someone through. Even Janja, Reirei and Zira stood aside as a rather large lion was now at the front and center. Kopa looked Simba up and down, Simba did the same. Kopa was the first to speak out of the two.
"So you are the King of the Pride Lands", Kopa bowed.
"And you're the new leader of the Pride Lands", Simba returned.
"Leader, no. I consider myself more of an usher of what is to be the next era of the Pride Lands. I know you see me as the one threatening you're home and the one's you care about, but I assure you the only threat in this situation is you, King Simba. I'm sure there's no reason to repeat what's already been said. Frankly put I have gathered these poor soul here today to save them. From the very place they're forced to inhabit. And to save them from you. I assure you, Simba if you think that you are the hero in this story, I assure you that is a delusion. You are a villain! A murderer! Your paws are stained with the blood of every species banished to the Outlands! Hunger, no water, a location void of the sun's blessing, forced to kill each other just to live another day. You, Simba have forced us to a living Hell and it's time you answer for your crimes!", Kopa roared, the Outlanders behind him raising their voices as well.
"Crimes?! My dad banished them for siding with Scar and threatening the balance of the Pride Lands", Kion defended, stepping forward.
"Ah yes, the cardinal argument. I expect such an example from a cub. The banishment of took place long before the allegiance Scar made the hyenas. But since we love to use that instance allow me to bring up the hyenas who took no part in that war and even the many cubs who were not even around during the war. Born in an environment that exist solely to punish them for a crime never committed. Oh, young innocent Prince, if only your ignorant eyes knew of the true horrors of the Outlands. I almost envy you. See you only have to fight for your land. But they have to fight for their very lives and the chance for their young's", Kopa spat, glaring at Kion.
Kion didn't know what to say. He knew that the Outlands was a rough place, but he didn't know that much.
"What's this guy even talking about? He sounds totally crazy", Bunga whispered in Kion's ear. But Kion said nothing in return. He only looked from the enemy to his father. If what this lion is true then...is my father a villain? Just as bad as Scar? No, no that couldn't possibly be true.
"But I am a lion of reason. This battle can all be prevented with your compliance", Kopa offered.
"And what is that?", Simba scowled.
"That would be the complete and utter disbandment of the Pride Land's hierarchy. It would seem that as long as there as an unjust king, such as your self and those who came before you, a war such as this was always destined to happen. But with someone such as myself at the throne, I can usher in the new ear of peace and freedom for all! Either you can submit or have your petty pride be your downfall!", Kopa dared, behind him many of the Outlanders were already set at attack.
"Never! We'll never submit and we'll never let someone else taken the throne. That's happened once and will never happen again!", Simba denied.
"Very well, but now that this is all you own doing", Kopa sighed and shook his head before releasing a deep roar as signal of the Outlanders to attack.
