"Bunga! Wait--", Timon cried out.

The honey badger ignored the meerkat's voice and prepared to dart of on his own.

"Where do you think you're going!", Bunga stopped in his tracks at two figures jumped out at him. They were none other than the hyenas known as Nne and Tano.

"Hyenas! Why is it always hyenas?!", Timon said woefully before hiding on Pumbaa's back.

"Mmm, meerkat and warthog. We've been looking for a little pick-me-up", Tano taunted, accompanied with the cackling of Nne.

"Rrrr! I don't have time for this!", Bunga growled. Right now Kion was out there all by himself and here he was listening to some dumb hyenas. "Get out of the way or I'll make you!"

"You here that, Nne?", Tano asked. "Or I'll make you", the hyena repeated in a high pitched, belittling voice. The two hyenas continued to laugh.

"How exactly are you gonna make me--", Nne's words were cut short as Bunga drove his paw into the spotted hyena's jaw. Nne took a step back and groaned in pain before growling in anger.

"Why you little!", Nne tried to snap at Bunga, but the honey badger reached forward and held the Nne's jaws open. Nne tried hard to close his jaws, but Bunga gathered his strength and pushed back as hard as he could. He successfully pushed back and Nne fell back.

While Bunga was busy with Nne, Tano was free to prey on Timon and Pumbaa.

"I guess it's just you and me now", Tano snarled, licking his chops and looming over the scared insectivores.

"What do we do now?", Pumbaa whimpered.

"We gotta fight back, We got no choice", Timon said in Pumbaa's ear. Tano started to close in on them and Pumbaa began to walk backwards slowly.

"Fight back?", Pumbaa repeated. "How do I do that?"

"Come on, Pumbaa. It's up to you now. It's either him or us", Timon encouraged. "And by that I mean it's him trying to eat us!!"

Pumbaa gathered what courage he could and gave of a snort from his nostrils. Timon was right, it was up to him. Bunga was holding back Nne, it was all him at this point. And Timon is right beside him. Tano was just about to lunch forward, but Pumbaa reacted quickly and lunged forward as well, brandishing one of his tusks threateningly. Tano quickly jumped out of the way. Pumbaa wasted no time and dug his hoof into the ground. Just as Tano got his bearings once again he saw the warthog charging right towards him. Tano didn't have enough time to get out of the way once again. Instead he met the charge head on and was soon locked in a match of both him and Pumbaa pushing into on another. Timon was cheering Pumbaa on.

Pumbaa was indeed overpowering the hyena. Tano struggled to keep the warthog at bay; knowing that if his strength faltered he could be easily pierced by on of those pointed tusks. He began to think of a way to overcome this, but he couldn't think of anything.

"Come on, buddy. You can do it! Keep pushing!", Timon continues to encourage the warthog to keep pushing further. Pumbaa pushed even harder and Tano started to the feel the point of the tusk pushing into him slightly. It was then that Tano realized what he need to do. Tano quickly lifted his paw and in one fell motion, swatted the meerkat off of the warthog's head.

"Whoa!", Timon yelled before he fell to the ground harshly.

"Timon!", just like the hyena wanted, Pumbaa was now distracted.  He grinned deviously to himself, now ready to strike.

Bunga was easily fighting off Nne and the hyena backed off a little. "Well, well, well. Won't you look at that?", Nne pointed at the scene behind them.
