I yanwed as I hit the snooze button on my alarm.Five am.It was five am when I made my way down the tower hallway,my bare feet padding against the cold floor as I made it to Peter's room.I playfully rolled my eyes at the sight infront of me,he was sitting on his bed tooth brush hanging out of the side of his mouth with one sock on as he snored.Peter I said causing him to shoot up,"I am awake!"He said in a panicked voice causing me to laugh softly."We don't have time for a nap Parker,we have to be at the hospital in forty-five minutes"I reminded him as I ran my fingers threw the mess of curls on top of his head."I don't wanna go"he mumbled while pouting tooth brush still in his mouth."Babe your throat has been sore for weeks and you keep catching strep,so you have to get those tonsils taken out"I said as I hugged him."We're leaving in thirty minutes"I reminded his as I kissed his cheek before leaving to get dressed. *******************************************
"I think I feel a lot better so let's just call the whole thing off and go home"he said giving me puppy dog eyes as we sat in the car stopped at a red light."Sorry babe not happening"I said as grabbed his hand.He huffed gripping the steering wheel with his other hand."Hey you're gonna be fine"I said as he nodded"I just never had surgery before and I am nervous"he explained parking the car before getting out."Hey I love you and I promise your gonna be fine"I said as we both stepped onto the elevator,"I love you to"he said as his brought his lips to mine kissing me softly. *******************************************
"Remind me again why I am filling out your medical form" I asked him as he bounced his knee up and down.I placed my hand over his knee forcing him to stop"Please stop,your gonna bounce threw the ceiling"I said as he bit his lip,"Mr.Parker we're ready for you" a nurse said as she stood holding the door open with her foot."Can my girlfriend come back with me"he asked slowly standing up."Of corse"she said smiling as he grabbed my hand pulling me with him as I handed the nurse his forms.She lead us to a small room with a chair and a bed before telling us she would be back in a few minutes to set his IV up."Do I have to wear the gown"he asked as I laughed "Yes now go change before the nurse come back"I said as I shooed him into the bathroom."I hate this"I heard Peter say as I looked up to see him standing in his hospital gown,"Sexy"I said as I wiggled my eyebrows at him causing him to laugh as he laid on the bed."Atleast the beds are comfy"he mumbled closing his eyes as the nurse came in to room pushing a cart with all of her supplies on it.I scooted closer to the bed as I grabbed Peter's hand kissing his knuckles as she felt for a vein to place the IV."Dont look"I said as she stuck the needle in his arm causing him to wince."Alright Mr.Parker say goodbye to your girlfriend,it's time for your surgery"the nurse said."I love you so much"he said as I giggle,"I love you to babe,you're gonna be just fine"I said before quickly kissing him as they wheeled him into the operating room. *******************************************
It was exactly a hour and a half before the nurse reappeared."He did great,they are gonna bring him out in a few minutes,he is still heavily sedated so he is loopy and silly he keeps telling us he is Spider-Man"she said laughing as she set down his cup of apple juice before leaving."Oh my god my boyfriend is such a blabber mouth"I mumbled to myself as I ran my hands over my face before the door opened as the nurse's rolled him into the room.I gave them a small thank you as they left before sitting my self on the bed."You're so pretty"he said slightly slurring his words as I laughed."Thank you babe,but you can't go around telling people you're Spider-Man"I said while he pouted."Why not"he said shooting me a glare."Because it's our little secret okay" I said as he nodded."I like this bed,can I have it?" he asked as he played with my fingers."No but I am sure Tony can order you one, in the meantime drink this apple juice"I said while handing him the juice as he giggled happily drinking it.After an hour the nurse came back with a wheelchair and took him down to the car before handing me his medicine and telling us goodbye.Peter you have to wear your seatbelt" I told him as I clicked it in place."What was that thing I just rode"he asked causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion."The wheelchair" I said hesitantly as nodded."I want one of those,there're fun" he sighed blissfully as he leaned his head against the window as I stifled my laugh. *******************************************
As soon as we got home he collapsed,quickly falling asleep.He woke up a few hours later complaining of a sore throat and wanting food.I quickly gathered his medicine and a tub of ice cream before making my way to his room."Thank you for everything" he said as we sat on his bed taking turns shoveling ice cream in to our mouths."You don't need to thank me babe,I am more than happy to take care of you"I said kissing his forehead."I am just glad I didn't say anything stupid when I was drugged"he said as I cleared my throat."Yeah about that,you told all the nurses that you were Spider-Man"I said casually as his eyes went wide."Dont worry they all thought you were just joking"I said as I kissed him as he let out a sigh of relief.
