"I can't stay Keith, you know I can't,"

"I won't let you leave! Please Lance....you're all I've got. If I lose you..." Keith's eyes glistened with tears, his eyes stung and his chest hurt. He held tightly onto Lance's jacket, he pulled hard to make Lance come closer.

"Keith," Lance hiccuped through sobs, he could barely keep his eyes open. "I can't stay," his voice lowered into a whisper.

"Lance, please." Keith looked up into Lance's baby blue eyes, Lance just shook his head. He leaned down and squeezed Keith's arms, he leaned over to kiss his forehead.

"I love you mullet," he smiled through water falls. He turned around and walked away slowly, Keith lost his grip on Lance's jacket. He fell forward to try to grab it but missed.

"Lance!" Keith sobbed, he hastily got up and ran towards him.

"I've got to go Keith," Lance turned to look at Keith one last time. Keith reached to grab his hand, but he felt nothing. Lance smiled and showed Keith his hand, he was fading. Keith tried to hug him but he fell through Lance.

"Don't say that, you don't have to go. Y-you still have so much to do." Keith cried.

"I do, there was so much I wanted to do. But sometimes we don't get to do them before it's time to go,"  Lance has become almost completely see through now. He smiled through tears one last time. "Bye now, take care of everyone for me."

"LANCE!"

........
Keith woke up in a cold sweat, his back drenched in smelly body odour. He breathed rapidly and unevenly.
"It was a dream, it was a dream." Keith looked around his room, it wasn't the lion castle. It was the house Keith and Lance always wanted to buy when they finally came home to Earth. He looked to his right, a picture frame with the whole team. They never got to come home to this house. Kieth dreamed about the day he would buy it, he would make Lance close his eyes and walk to the front steps. Open his eyes and see the house they would live in, together.

But he didn't get to take Lance,

home.
