(A/N): Still don't own anything <3

I should have left well enough alone.

-Alan-

I took a few steps to examine the number on the door. “I, uh, is the RA not here? Did you break into her room?”

“Firstly, I am offended that you think I would have to break into a girl’s room. We both know I’m attractive enough for them to let me in” He winked.

 My face erupted in flames.

“Secondly, why would I want to break into a girl’s room? Flaming homo, remember?”

Yeah, I remembered alright.

“And thirdly, I am the RA, kitten, now do you want me to discuss the whole student ID process with you?”

I nodded slightly and stepped into the room. I was surprised. Knowing about us guys and hygiene, his room was spotless.

“So, lemme see your schedule and I can answer any questions you have.”

Wordlessly, I handed him my packet, still trying to process the fact that he was the RA and not some random girl.

 “So, you’re not a girl…” I stated.

“Sex change.” he said dead seriously “I was a confused child” he laughed as that last part came out.

“Funny” I muttered. “I can’t believe this though. I requested an all guys building, got co-ed, and now my RA is a h-” I was going to say hot guy. But I stopped myself

“Sex God.” He said it for me. “I know, some people have all the luck.”

With a heavy sigh he pulled my schedule from my packet and studied my schedule. “Woah. You don’t seem to be the indecisive type. Nineteen credits and no major?”

I wanted to tell him he didn’t know me, didn’t know my reasons for not committing. I kind of wanted to snap at him.

As if sensing my irritation, my cell phone went off. I knew it was my uncle JoBob. It’s not like anyone wanted to talk to me anyways.

I pressed Ignore. Uncle Jo would flip if he heard a male voice in the background. And Austin didn’t really look like the quiet type. I was pretty sure he was flexing over on his bed, but I couldn’t be sure because he was wearing a black, long sleeved slipknot shirt and ripped jeans.

“So,” Austin said as he started to scribble something down on a sheet of paper, “your campus map will be the bread and butter of surviving at college. Don’t lose it.”

“Got it” I said, slightly irritated still, and snatched my schedule back from him. “ID card?” I asked.

“I circled the building on your map. Smile bright for your picture, kitten.” He said as he stood up from his desk.

I grimaced “are you going to call me that all year?”

“Do you want me to call you something else?” He raised an eyebrow at me.

 “No…”

 He took a step forward.

“I thought you didn’t do freshman?” I asked him. He was standing so close that I could smell him.

“I might be changing my mind. I was always a sucker for red heads”

“My hair isn’t completely red, look right here it’s kinda brown” I said, searching frantically for a piece of hair on my head that didn’t look ginger.

 I was bullshitting myself.

“I hate to break it to you, but your hair is red, and gorgeous, just like you.”

I needed to remind myself to breathe.

“Forgetting something?” His voice wafted from the other side of the room.

I turned around to find him holding my packet. I took it from him gratefully.

“Use the elevator!” He called at me from the front of his door. Sure enough, there was a sign pointing to the elevator. No wonder he had gotten here faster than me.

I pressed the down button and refused to look back, even though I knew that his door was open and I could feel his eyes staring into me from behind.

 I didn’t turn around.
