Venice

My hands were trembling. I'm about to enter Ms. Kim's office. She's one of the heads here and she's one of those people who wants to get our company away from us. No one told me, I can just tell. She was really REALLY not fond of me.

"Ma'am, here are the proposals from the Marketing Department." I told Ms. Kim as I placed the folders on her desk. She stopped encoding on her laptop and looked at me.

"You're Venice right?" she looks at me intriguingly. No Venice, you don't have to feel uneasy infront of her. You should be confident.

"Yes Ma'am." i answered in a polite tone. I saw her smirk.

"You didn't even greet me, how rude. Oh well, just place it there. I have a lot of things to do. Don't waste my time. Get out." she said.. Wow. And She got the guts to call me rude? I took a deep breath. She was right. I was rude for not greeting her first.

---
"Venice?" I heard Sasha's voice.

I look around and saw her at our departments door.
She looked at her watch then back at me.
I already know that she'll be shouting at me AGAIN.

"It's past working hours! Why are you still here?! "She asked with her brows converging. Isn't she tired asking me that every day?

I look at her for a second and look back at the screen. "I have a deadline to chase. Go ahead. I can manage. " I told her.
I heard footsteps coming closer.
She just don't give up.

"Oh my gosh, you look so... Pale Aish! That witch! She's obviously doing these on purpose! Look what she'd done to you?!" she exclaimed. Good thing that Ms. Kim was no longer here. She went on a "blind date" like wth, she's too evil to have a boyfriend. Like, it has to be Satan she's meeting if not? Well, it won't work for them. Poor her. She has to meet someone with the same level of evilness on their veins. Sighs

These past few weeks was hell for me. I've  literally pass out several times already because of too much work and less eating and sleeping. She's ordering me around even past our work time.

"I'm okay, sasha. Just go ahead. I have to finish this and send this to her. " i tried to convinced her but she's too stubborn. She keeps on blabbling and telling me to stop. I really wanted too, but I can't. I can't give up and give them the chance to laugh at my weakness.

"Sha, I have to do this. My Grandpa's rooting for me." I told her. That's the time she finally stopped dissing Ms. Kim.

"Whatever! Fine, just don't kill yourself! Bye!" she said and stormed off.

The moment she left, I focused again on my work but then my phone starts ringing.

"What now?!" i was about to loose my shit. Ms. Kim is calling me, probably adding more on my workload. She's really making my life here a living hell.

"Yes, Ma'am?" I tried to make my voice sound polite.

"Venice! Please come here at ***** restau and bring my purse this instant! Be here fast or I'll tell the board about your Tardiness. Bye!" then she hang up the phone.

TAR... DI.. NESS...

ME?!!!

IS SHE EVEN A HUMAN?!!!

"Arghhhhhhhhh!!" i screamed due to frustration.

Savier

I look at my wristwatch. She's late.

Distracting myself, I took out their menu and scroll. Out of all the things that I hated, being late is on top. Being a lady was not an exemption.

My Mom arranged me into this blind date again. And for the record, it's the 7th time already.

As much as I wanted to disagree, I can't say no to my Mom. I cheerish her the most and I can't afford to see her disappointed in me.

Someone stood next to me.
"Hi, are you Mr. Savier Hidalgo?" she asked. I don't like her. That's the only thing that's running inside my head as of now. There's something that I don't like about her. Well, I didn't like the other six so maybe it had become my habit.. Disliking my date, psh.

"Good evening, Ms

"Good evening, Ms. Kim. Have a seat. " i didn't pull out a chair for her. Call me rude but I didn't like the fact that she was late so I guess we're even.

We've ordered some foods and talk-- like what other people do in blind dates. The only difference is that she was the only one talking and I was just here, listening and nodding. When will she stop talking about herself? I thought.

"Wait I have to call someone from my company." she said as she excused herself.

I sighed. That girl is too infuriating. Too conceited.

After a few minutes, her phone started to ring. She left her phone on the Table. I was not going to answer it but I felt like its urgent.

"That girl, she excused herself to call someone but she forgot her pho---oh she had 2 phones with her." I said as I pick up her phone to answer the call.

"He---"

"Ma'am where are you?" i can hear her breathing so hard. Did she ran or something?

"I'm here at the entrance, where are you exactly Ms. Kim?" she asked.

I look at the entrance.

I can't believe it.
