I watched her got inside a cab. I couldn't feel my legs. I wanted to ran after her but I just couldn't move my legs.

Did she just slipped about her hopes of us together again? But why?  I thought she's desperate to end everything?

I felt a warm hand on my right shoulder. I almost fainted when I realized who it was.

"Just let her. She needs to be alone. " I was surprised to see her Grandfather. Is her family good at getting other people surprised or something? It has to be in their blood or else I would think I have to stop my caffeine intake from now on.

"Oh!  Good Evening, Mr.  Bae" I greeted him.  He smiled.  Wait.. Did he saw what happened?!

"So.. You two fought huh? "He suddenly said.  He wasn't really asking.  He was somewhat like concluding--yeah if that's  the correct word for it.

I didn't know what to say. Is he seeing it in a way that we're a couple who had a fight or just two individuals who had a fight--no biggie?
It was really hard to answer. I might dig my own grave if I answer wrongly.

"No.. I mean yes? " I sounded unsure. He raised both of his brows. I wanted to punch myself for acting stupid.

It's my first time talking with him ALONE but still no one can blame me for stammering. He's VENICE'S GRANDFATHER! I should act my best to give him a nice impression and for the record, HE'S THE MAN I LOOK UP TO FOR YEARS.  Man it was like a dream come true!

"You're a funny man. You reminds me of my late Son. I no longer wonder why my Granddaughter was so interested in you. "He let out a laugh. I don't know what to say. He knows---ofcourse he'll  know! He's overprotective ever since with Venice. Knowing this wouldn't require him to move even a single muscle. He's a very powerful man. I'm pretty sure Venice will never tell him this so I bet he found it out.

I didn't know what and how to reply so I remain silent.
"I think you really had a tough fight.. "I look at him. How did he know? 
He wasn't looking at me. He was staring at the sky.

"You know, my granddaughter is a very brave woman"he pause for a while and look at me. I felt my stomach flinched. He was giving a different vibe.

"but that doesn't mean I would stay still if someone's making her cry. " He said and it kinda affected me really REALLY hard.

"Sir...I didn't mean to hurt her.  It was just a misunderstanding. "I defended. Yeah right! It wasn't just a misunderstanding!! It was a whole lot more, you moron!

He slightly nodded. I don't know but that gave me somewhat like a relief.

"When I found out about your marriage, I was so mad. I wanted to  know who's that lucky bastard so I payed multiple investigators to gather information about you. " he told me. I was shaking the whole time. I can feel his anger even thou he's just calmly reminiscing.

Wait what??? HE HIRED INVESTIGATOR S?!!  WITH A F*CKING S!!!!

"I'm sorry but you can't blame me for that.  I love my princess very much and if I would be leaving her to someone,  that someone has to be someone I really trust. "He said.  His eyes looks so sad.  It reminds me of Venice. They have that same look in their eyes.

he suddenly look at me.
"I know you wouldn't hurt my princess. " He said that out of the blue. He looks so sure. 

"But sir... I.. I did.  I've already hurt her. "I said. I look down. I can't look at him. I feel so embarrassed.

"And.. Now... I could no longer make her happy since we're done. She doesn't want me anymore." I wanted to add but I can't. 

I felt his warm hand again but this time on my head.
"No. You wouldn't. "He simply said. That made me look at him.  He was smiling.
