Chapter 13 (Sick Venice)

Venice

I wasn't feeling well. I haven't had enough sleep for days. I didn't even  sleep last night just to finish this proposal I'm holding.

Walking to Ms. Kim's office was like a torturing my body. My head is twirling.

I can just slightly move my hands and feet. I feel so weak.

"Come in." i heard her said after I knocked.

"Oh my! Look at you! Are you okay?!" she immediately stood up to check on me. Concern is written all over her face.

She placed her right hand on my forehead and the other on hers. 

"Yah! You're really hot. You're definetly sick. Why did you even bother coming here?! You stupid little girl!" she scolded me like I was somekind of a kid. 
I took a step back and handed her the proposal I made.

She look at it for a second and took it.

She opened the folder an started reading every single page.

I sat on the nearest chair. I feel so exhausted.

"Oh, so you've finished it before deadline. And you've done pretty  Good job." she said after reading it all. I timidly smiled.

"Thanks. I'll go now." I told her and stood up. I don't have the power to talk to her much longer.

"You should take a dayoff. You can't look like that for the presentation day. " She said. . I look back at her.
What does she meant by that?
Wasn't she the one to present?

"Oh, didn't I tell you that you're the one who's going to present this to the board? " she said while walking to my place. What!!??
The moment she said that, I suddenly started to feel my whole system running. I can't believe this.

"you're joking right?" I was praying so that she was saying the truth. I was waiting for this opportunity. She smiled and shake her head.

"Nope, honey. I'm telling you the truth. In that same day you'll be introduced to the board as the next CEO of the Bae empire so you should be confident and you have to get yourself ready." she said.

I can't contain my happiness so I hugged her. She even giggled.

"Wait a minute. I thought you didn't like me? So why are you being like this?" I asked her.

"Oh that, well.. Uhmm. I shouldn't be saying this but.. Fine." she was so hesitant.

"Your Grandpa told me not to treat you nicely. He wanted you to work really hard without depending on others. And I guess I made the right choice in following him. You really made it all by yourself. " she said while slightly raising the proposal.

"So.. You didn't really despise me?" i ask again.

This time she was the one to hug me. "That's a very strong word, honey. No one would despise an Angel like you. That's for sure. Good luck with the presentation. Make us all proud." she said. I feel so happy. Dad, Mom.. This is it!

I didn't bring with me my car since I wasn't feeling good this morning. Sasha and the others are busy in their departments so I didn't want to bother them. I'll just ride a taxi on my way home.

When I was already out, my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Venice! I heard you're not feeling well? Are you already home?" Savier asked.
"Huh? How did you know?! Did Ms. Kim---"
