What happened to everything?

Chapter 13

"The president of the United States" the announcer called and the national anthem started to play while some people clapped and cheered for him but I stood there with my arms crossed while he waved to the crowd and walked to the stand with the microphone and I looked down the line to see my brother and my father sitting next to each other and I froze and nearly stumbled back until hank realised and held me in place and I thanked him and continued to look forward

"My fellow Americans, today we face the greatest threat in our history, mutants" he said snd I saw Ollie shift uncomfortably

"We have prepared for this fight" he said and I decided to listen no more cause it was going to make me upset so I just looked at Charles who was moving from crowd to crowd, trying to locate raven

"The world will never be the same again" the president finished and the flag fell down and there was the sentinels and Logan looked frozen and me and hank looked worried. I hoped Charles found raven soon and stopped all this nonsense so that we could then talk to the president about it

"Raven" Charles suddenly called out and then signalled Logan and hank

"I have her. See? There that secret service men on the left of the stage" Charles said while pointing and Logan nodded, seeing her

"Yea" Logan acknowledges

"Go" Charles ordered and Logan and hank walked off and I looked down to see Amelia with me and I looked at Logan and hank and saw tommy with them and I looked shocked and I looked at Amelia

"He wants to help and so do I" she explained and I looked at her and held her hand and then suddenly the sentinels decided to turn on and began to fly and I knew that it wasn't trask so I looked at Amelia and picked her up so that I knew she was with me and put my fingers to my temple briefly and went into Tommy's head

"I know you want to help but please be careful tommy" I said and he looked behind do me and smiled at me

"I will mum. I love you" He said and I smiled

"I love you too tommy" and then I cut off the link and then I saw him, Hank and Logan get stopped by a police officer. I saw the sentinels aiming there guns and I gasped lightly, knowing this was going to end horribly bad and then they started to shoot and everyone screamed and started to run away and I put Amelia down as I saw Charles take his fingers away from his temple

"Amelia hold onto your dad" I said and she nodded and I put my finger sot my temple and went to freeze raven but she had already blocked us out and I sighed, pulled my boots out of my bag and quickly put them on and looked at Charles worriedly and ran to go after raven when Charles nodded

"Erik" Charles screamed in the sky and it all clicked and made sense. Erik was controlling them. That's why they were shooting at humans I ran towards where I knew raven was going to go but a sentinel shot bullets towards me and I dove behind a car so that I wouldn't get hurt and then saw a stadium with Erik in the middle of it and I sighed and a part of it fell off and was heading straight for Charles and Amelia

"Charles" Logan warned and he shouted something to Amelia and she moved to lie on the floor

"Charles, Amelia" I screamed and looked at them and Charles rolled and grabbed Amelia so they both weren't hit and they both groaned and I ran started to run over to them

*future Lydia pov*

I heard an explosion and decided to block it out so I wouldn't get upset snd then Charles gasped and I looked at him and ran over to him

"Charles what's wrong?" I asked and he looked at me

"Storm" he muttered and my face dropped and I felt a tear fall down my face

"No" I muttered and looked at Amelia as she ran outside

"Amelia" I screamed but Charles grabbed my hand

"No, don't she wants to protect the ones she loves" he explained and I looked at him and bowed down my head and Wendy to walk out to also help but Charles froze me

"Let go" I demanded and he shook his head

"I have already discussed this with Amelia and tommy while you were asleep earlier. If they get you. All hope is lost. Love we  need you as the last line of defence" Charles explained and I slowly nodded and walked back to him and he smiled at me lightly and grabbed my hand and kissed it and then we heard a lot of noise at the door and I looked at it worried, as did Charles and Bobby and then Charles was teleported back into the room and looked injured and I looked at him and smiled at him lightly

*past Lydia's pov*
I ran over to them and grabbed their hands and then tommy joined me

"Tommy I want you to stay here with them please" I told him but he shook his head

"Uncle Erik will not get away with this, not for hurting the ones I love" he said snd ran off and I sighed

"He's too much like you" Charles chuckled and gave him a glare

"Will you two be okay until one of us comes back?" I asked and They both nodded and Charles held Amelia close as he bottom lip quivered

"We will be fine, daddy while chase away the monsters for Amelia" he said and they both smiled at each other and so did I. I reached in and kissed Charles on the head and then did the same with Amelia and leaned up and watched the scene in front of me to see Erik looking at the White House and then I heard a roar and I looked at hank and he was in beast mode and then Erik looked up at the sentinel behind him

"Do what you were made for" he said and I looked at him shocked as the sentinel looked towards hank and Logan and started to advance and shoot at them and Logan started to attack it but then hank jumped on it

"I've got this" He shouted and I smiled at him and Logan ran off towards Erik and Erik started to throw things towards him and then used metal wires to stab Logan with them and but then all through his body
