We are now at Natasha's party, we were a little late as the traffic was crazy but again it was expected for a Friday night. Kyle didn't seem to mind when we pulled up and everyone was already here and the party was on full swing. He said that he never goes to a party early because nothing happens at the start, coming late is always the best option which I didn't agree with. We have been here for just over an hour, I've not done much since we arrived. I've stuck with Rowan since Kyle went to see his other friends and left me.

"Earth to Emerson." Rowan says more than once until I respond.

"Sorry." I say as I shake my head and she laughs a little as she puts her arm around my shoulder. Someone is in a good mood, especially since earlier on.

"What's on your mind?" She asks as we make our way through the crowds. I don't know where we are going but I just let her drag me along.

"Uh nothing." I lie. I don't really know anyone here apart from Rowan, Natasha and Kyle.

"Hmm okay. There's Kyle let's go." She says and we continue to make our way through until we reach the living room and join everyone on the sofas. As soon as his eyes meet with mine, he nods and smiles a little.

"Ah there you two are." Natasha says as she gets up from the sofa and makes her way over to me and Rowan and gives each of us a hug.

"Thanks for inviting me." I say to her and she smiles. "Of course."

It's packed in here, I don't know how she evens knows this many people but everyone who is gathered around the sofa is the only people I have seen before. Rowan and I take a seat next to Kyle and join the conversation. A couple of minutes go by while Natasha talks about this boy she has been seeing and asks for advice until everyone goes quiet and looks at who just came through the door and then all eyes are on Rowan. She looks at me and whispers "what?"

I quickly glance at the door to see what everyone was looking at and see Keegan. I whisper back to let her know that he is here and she quickly goes quiet and looks up at him once he joins us.

"Hi guys." He says as he takes a seat opposite her and everyone mumbles back in response. I'm guessing that everyone here knows the situation and they aren't helping. It's just gotten more awkward now, I try my best to start a conversation so I turn to Kyle.

"What you drinking?" I ask him and he turns his cup towards me to show me. "Water. I'm driving remember."

"Right. Sorry just trying to make conversation it's a bit awkward." I say as I lean in to whisper in his ear. As I move away from him I can see him smirking. "I'll help." He replies and shortly after gets up and holds out his hand. I look at him wondering what he is doing and all eyes go on us instead of Keegan and Rowan.

"We should get going." He says and I nod and take his hand and get up.

"Leaving so early?" Natasha asks us and I look at Kyle waiting for him to reply for us but he doesn't.

"Yeah I've got something on tomorrow morning and Kyle promised to give me a ride back to my dorm." I say and she nods.

"Do you want to come with us?" I ask Rowan and as she is about to answer Keegan speaks.

"Can we go somewhere and talk?" He asks her and she nods. "I'll see you back home." She tells me and Kyle before we make our way out of the party.
