Last night was nothing like I had planned in my mind. Kyle told me he wanted me and I didn't register it at first until he made his move which led on to a few things but a lady never tells. For the rest of the night we finished our take out and watched another movie, didn't really pay much attention to it as we just talked. It wasn't awkward at all which was really nice, the only thing is now it's the following morning. He is laying next to me in my bed and I am so confused on what is going on between us. I don't know if anything will come of it or if this is just for fun. No one really knows about us, if there is an 'us.'

My thoughts are soon disturbed by the ringing coming from my phone, I quickly reach over him and get it to see my mums ID on the screen. I hit the answer button and make my way out of the bed and my room so I don't wake him up or chance him waking up and talking. My mum cannot hear a boys voice in the background. this early in the morning. She would for sure know what happened and that is a little too much.

"Hi mum." I quickly say after closing my dorm room behind me.

"Hi sweetie, it's been too long. How are you?"

"Yeah I'm good, just woke up."

"Sorry hunny, but I've got news."

My mum has news, I don't know how to feel about that, we haven't spoke for a few days and even when we have it was the occasional message. I don't say anything in reply to her news, instead I just wait for her to fill in the awkward silence between us.

"Me and your dad are here." She says sounding overjoyed. Nothing comes out of my mouth, it takes me a while to process what she has just told me. Her and my dad are here as in like here.

"Wait what?" I finally say and she laughs.

"We thought it would be a nice surprise since we didn't make it last time. Can we pick you up in ten?"

"Uh I'll need to get ready, can just meet yous somewhere?" I ask. It would not be a nice sight if my parents came to pick me up from my dorm and seen Kyle laying in my bed.

"Okay hunny, meet at the corner coffee by campus?" She asks and I agree. Shortly after we end our phone call and I go back inside to find him awake.

"Where did you go?" He asks me as he raises his eyebrows.

"Sorry my mum phoned. So my parents are here and want to meet me in half an hour." I tell him and his eyes go wide.

"I didn't know they were visiting." He says and I nod my head, "yeah me neither." I make my way over to the bed and sit on my end and we continue to talk about my parents coming and how I feel about it.

The rest of the morning is spent with me getting ready, or at least presentable to see my family again. Kyle offered to drop me off on the way back to his and I couldn't say no. We are currently inside his car outside the coffee shop. "Thank you for taking me here." I tell him and he smirks.

"It was my pleasure. Good luck and give me a shout when your done." He says as I get out of the car and head towards the coffee shop. As soon as I enter I see my mum and dad sat at the back, already drinking. Looks like they didn't fancy waiting for me before ordering. As I approach them, my mums beams of happiness as soon as she sees me. She stands up as soon I get to them and wraps her arms around me, something I haven't had in almost nine months.

"Hi." I simply say and my father nods. He is a man of few words, or at least to me.

"Ah my baby girl so grown up. Look at you." She says as she pushes me to sit next to her.
