As soon as those words come out of his mouth, all eyes are placed on me and all I can do is stare at him. Not knowing what to say to his statement. Thankfully it's not long until my mum speaks and all eyes go from me to him. "Aw hunny, you never told me you had a boyfriend. Now it makes sense why you are always too busy for me." She says and I nod, still not knowing what to say.

"Uh yeah. You caught me." I simply answer back, trying to go with the flow - just as I answer, I see my dad take a few steps forward towards Kyle and then extends his hand. I watch Kyle as he shakes my fathers hand and says, "Good to meet you Sir." I don't even know what is happening right now, I mean we have never talked about being in a relationship and yes, we have gotten closer but I still thought he just wanted to be friends but with benefits.

"You too Kyle, glad to see that my daughter has made some friends." My father says and gives a genuine smile which in turn, my mum looks at me and smiles as well.

"Darling as you know we leave tomorrow, but what about dinner or early breakfast tomorrow?" My mum says to break the silence as my father rejoins her side and the room goes quite again, this could not be more awkward if we tried, and it's all because Kyle decided to drop a 'bomb' that I didn't even know about. "How about early breakfast, I have a few things I need to catch up on." I reply, focusing my gaze on him.

"Kyle it was nice to meet you, would love if you came tomorrow." My mum adds in and he nods his head in agreement. "I wouldn't miss it for the world, we will be there and I know just the place." As my mum and my 'supposed' boyfriend continue on talking, I look at my father who is on his phone as usual, seems like his interest has gone out of the window - at least he did talk today and was somewhat reasonable. I then turn to look at Rowan, who must be feeling super awkward - instead I find her on her laptop with her earphones on and a smirk spread across her face.

"That is settled, right hunny we will see you both tomorrow morning." My mum says as she comes in for a hug and my father stands there awkwardly with his phone still in his hand. He doesn't say anything, instead just walks out of my dorm and my mother follows him, after giving me an 'apologetic' smile. Something which I am getting more and more used to. As soon as I close the door, I turn around to face him and see that Rowan has removed her earphones and has put her laptop down on the floor.

"We need to talk." I tell him as I join him on the end of my bed and he nods.

"Sure we do, Rowan wants to hear all about it, right?"

Rowan looks between us both before answering, and before she does - she shakes her head. "Yes I do but I'm going to give yous some much needed privacy first." As soon as she replies, she gets out of her bed and heads out of the room- still wearing her pyjamas. Im glad that its only us now, but I'm nervous and before I know it... I blow up and his faces fills with amusement.
