A scolding

*Mild swearing*

My dad pulled into the driveway with a furious look on his face. Once he parked the car, he got out and yelled at Johnny. "You stay away from my daughter, greaser!"

He then marched up to me. "Who was that?!" He asked. I stayed silent. "I said WHO WAS THAT?!" I whispered quietly, "A boy."

"A boy?" My dad repeated. "A nice boy!" I clarified. "A nice boy? What was he doing on my driveway?!" He yelled. "He walked me back home with his friend." I stated.

"Walked you back home from where? Where did you go with him? I don't want you talking to that Greaser, let alone kissing him!" He screamed.

"But Daddy! He's a really sweet boy and isn't like the others! He even saved me from Bob." I explained. I hoped he would understand, but I guess not.

"Why would you need saving from Bob? You can fight for yourself." He muttered. "He was hurting me! He was holding my wrists and was yelling at me, dad. He might've done something worse if Johnny didn't distract him and give me time to run away!"

"So that's his name? Johnny? Well you can tell Johnny that he's not allowed to see you ever again! And he can't talk to you or even make eye contact with you, if you somehow happen to be in the same place! You're also grounded for a week."

"Shit dad! That's not fair! He's a real nice person and I think you would like him if he wasn't what you people call 'Greasers'"

My dad glared at me. "What do you mean, 'you people'? You know what? No. I don't want to hear it. You're not going to see him ever again. Clear?"

I shook my head. "No, we're not clear! I don't see what's wrong with him. Or any of the greasers! You can't just dislike someone because you're richer than them. It's not their fault they were raised in a wilder family. People don't get to choose their reputation right from birth, and once they get one, it's not great because people like you put them down and don't let them have any opportunities. You judge them for something they can't control. I would rather be a greaser than be in the same group as you assholes!"

Saying that made my dad more furious than I've ever seen him. I slowly backed away. I then felt a sting on my face. He had slapped me. He's done it before but man, this one hurt like hell.

I screamed curse words at him and ran in the opposite direction. I'm not going back, ever again. I hate my family. I hate it I hate it I hate it. No one understands. No one cares. They don't benefit my life. I don't need them. They aren't my real family.

I ran for 10 minutes, until I didn't know where I was. I wiped away my tears and studied the area. I was in a lot. Where exactly, I did not know. Tired and frustrated, I sat down on the asphalt ground and screamed.  The ground was cold and hard and very uncomfortable.

I then heard voices coming from the other end of the lot. I slowly walked closer to see who it was. It was Dallas and some Soc arguing. Someone was bound to pull a switch soon enough.

I didn't care though, as I ran up to Dallas. Boy, was I glad to see him. I ran up and gave him a hug. I was immediately swallowed by his huge leather jacket. "Dallas! Man, I'm glad to see you!" I exclaimed as I wiped away my tears.

Dallys POV

I was fighting with some Soc about some punctured tires. Obviously, I was the one who had sliced them. I put my hand on my back pocket, ready to pull my switch out. All of a sudden, someone came running into my arms.

I looked down and saw Aiden. Shocked and confused, I wrapped my arms around her. She was bawling her eyes out, and I didn't like to see her that way.

In that way, she reminded me of Johnny- helpless and broken. I held her tight and calmed her down. "Shh it's gonna be fine." I whispered. The Soc was confused and left with a huff. "This ain't over, hood!"

Aiden and I sat down on a bench we found. Her crying had stopped, but her breathing was irregular and her eyes were red. I couldn't tell if she was sad or angry by the way she was squeezing my hand. I thought she was going to break it soon.

She leaned against my shoulder and sighed. "You good?" I asked. She nodded her head. "What happened? Didn't you just go back home?" Aiden nodded her head again.

"A- After you guys left, my dad drove up and he started yelling at me, and then he slapped me. We were arguing 'bout why I was hanging out with ya an' he got really mad. I ran away after he hit me and now I'm here and I don't know what to do. Dallas, I'm scared." Aiden explained.

I pulled her in for a hug. I had only just met her, but since she reminded me of Johnny so much, I had grown to like her already. No, not in that way. But as a fatherly kinda figure. Man, I hate kids but she 'n Johnny, (and sometimes Pony) are an exception.

"Well, we should getcha back to the Curtis' place. They'll know what to do." I told Aiden. She sighed and nodded. We stood up and I walked her back to the house.

Ahh the emotions are happening, people. And guess what? I just finished watching the Outsiders movie. Since I read the book first, I like it better than the movie. Plus the effects aren't that great since it's an older movie and my imagination/ interpretation is better. (Geez that sounded rude so Ignore the previous sentence!)I don't want to ruin the vibe so continue reading and quit looking at my stupid authors notes. Word count: 1019
