Chapter 23

Taehyung POV

My heart started thumping inside my chest as if it was going to jump out, I knew this day would come, but even then, I totally wasn't ready for it. Why didn't he tell me about this before? At least if he had done that I would have been prepared, but now he is telling me in a few hours he will be completely and entirely taken by none other than Park Jimin himself. Okay perhaps I am exaggerating a bit, but the thing is, as soon as he said those words my entire body felt like crumbling... I hated that I still liked him, I literally just wanted to be a good friend for him, why couldn't I just get over it and move on? Fuck this stupid crush. Even with that turmoil of emotions going on, I was kind of happy for him, because he just looked so... Happy and full of life, yeah maybe it wasn't because of me, but I was glad something was lifting his usual pessimistic demeanor up. Considering that, I figured the best thing I could do was support him overall, especially because the way he answered after that weird fucking text I sent, was truly heartbreaking, it kind of showed me how much he really valued our bond, and I just couldn't throw that away as if it meant nothing.
