Reece told me she was leaving and that she would talk about it with me later, which I was thankful for. I was enjoying my time with Ashton's family, that is, until his mom came home. Our trip to Australia was right at the end of her trip with some of her friends. So we had a few days with his siblings, whom of which were lovely.

Me and Lauren got along smashingly but Harry seemed a little distant. It was understandable though, I was just a random woman that his brother brought home. We told them about our accidental marriage and they seemed cool about it, who the fuck knows how his mother would react.

The day she came home I had been out with Lauren. We had gone out to lunch and we went out for some light shopping.

"Mom will be home for dinner today." She said offhanded. This caused me to panic slightly and look down at the coffee cup on my ring finger. "Don't worry. We love you, I have no doubt she will love you too." I frowned.

"I guess I am a little worried for nothing. I mean someone who gave birth to all three of you guys has to be at least a little similar. And I get along with you guys pretty well." I shrugged. After we shopped we went home.

As we walked in the door I saw Ashton talking to his mom. Her face turned sour as soon as I stepped foot into the house.

"Mum, it's okay. Don't worry about it!" Ashton said walking after her.

"That looked..." I started unable to finish my sentence.

"Messy?" Lauren finished. I nodded. I wasn't positive they had been talking about me and Ashton, but I knew that if they were that I would be less than thrilled to find out he decided to drop the bomb without me being there.

"What was all that about?" I asked sitting down at the kitchen table. Ashton sighed and rubbed his eyes.

"I might have mentioned our marriage." He said. I was afraid of that.

"Let's go talk in the other room." I suggested. I didn't want to fight I just wanted him to be able to be 100% honest. As soon as we were in the room he started talking.

"Okay before you yell at me I'm sorry." He said squeezing his face together.

"Don't worry about that. Just tell me what happened." I said. Really it wasn't that big of a deal to me but first impressions are important and now Ann Marie would just see me as the girl who got her son drunk enough to marry me after only dating for a year and basically refusing to meet her before then.

"Well, she saw the iced coffee on my finger and asked about it." He said, "I shrugged and said that it was a matching tattoo with you and you have a coffee mug because you prefer your coffee hot. And she went ahead and told me that it wasn't a good idea for me to get a matching tattoo with a girlfriend and I offhandedly said 'She's not just my girlfriend, but okay.' and she was very confused and so I ended up blurting that we were married and she was not thrilled and that's where you came in." He said all of that very quickly. Again, I wasn't mad but I felt that it was quite possibly the worst course of action.

"Is she mad at me?" I asked. He shook his head.

"No, but she might be mad at me." He said looking down at his feet.

"It'll be okay, I'm sure. I mean if you and your siblings love me then she definitely will. And if she loves me then she won't be mad at you." I shrugged basically repeating what Lauren said earlier. I wasn't sure I believed it, I mean I had yet to really talk to her in my life. But it convinced Ashton and that's all I cared about.
