Sakura's POV

I can't believe Sasuke-kun would do that. Does the information that Karin told her isn't enough? Does the weird feelings isn't convincing for him?

All those years have passed, I felt incomplete without a certain reason but now I knew. We were missing a member of our family. Since the day I saw Asuna, I felt complete—I feel contented and happy.

"I'll be out again for my mission. Tell Sarada when she gets home." Sasuke-kun spoke. "Ahm, yeah. Sure." I replied.

He looked at me intently, "are you okay, Sakura?"

"O-of course I am!"

Sasuke is still looking at me intently then he tapped my forehead, "'Til next time." it didn't change, it still makes me blush while my heart is pounding rapidly.

I smiled shyly at him, "take care."

He then turned his back on me and was about to leave when he suddenly face me and our lips met causing my face to redden even more. He hugged me tight and kissed my forehead before he bids goodbye.

I shook my head while chuckling because of what happened awhile back. That man..

A knock distracted me from my thoughts again. Heading towards the door to open in and check who's the guest.

"Aunt Sakura." it was Boruto who is panting, "is Sarada here?"

His question confused me. Isn't she supposed to be with her team? Why are they looking for her?

"No," I shook my head, "I thought she's hanging out with you two."

"We've been waiting for her but she didn't come." Mitsuki said.

"If she's not here and she's not with you either, where is she now?" I asked. "No.." I mumbled.

"What's wrong, aunt Sakura?" Boruto asked. "I think I know where she is." I replied and they both look at me with 'where look'.

I secured our home first before leaving it to find Asuna. Boruto and Mitsuki just followed me from where I am heading until I stopped in front of the gate of Konoha.

"Mama, are you going somewhere outside of our village?" a familiar voice that always capture my heart into pure bliss. I followed the direction of her voice and she was just on our back, staring at me confused. "Sarada!" I said and hurriedly hugged her, "you made me worry.. I thought you leave the village to find Asuna."

"M-mama, you're s-squishing me.." she mumbled. "I'm sorry. Mama can't help it because you are too precious." I squealed while caressing her face.

"Mama, will you also treat Asuna the way you treat me as your daughter?" she asked, pouting her lips. "What's with the sudden question?" I smiled and she just pout her lips even more, "Of course I will! She's my daughter after all, my long lost daughter."

"Mama..." Sarada caressed my face. "Let's go find her. And welcome her wholeheartedly." she mumbled causing my tears fall.

"Y-yes.. We will bring her back." that's the only thing I said and hugged Sarada once more. "We are so lucky to have you and Asuna. The best blessing we have received."

Asuna's POV

"Mom.." I said while panting because I got just finished from my training. "Asuna, how many times should I tell you that don't call me mom." she sighed.

"We both said that nothing's gonna change. What is this now?" I uttered.

"You need to understand that everything is different now. We can no longer bring back the way it was before. Just focus on keeping yourself stronger to prove them wrong." she said, gone the sweetness. Her mother attitude for me is gone. I can't feel any but just a mere woman.

"M—" she cut me off, "it's aunt Karin. Now, continue your training." with that she's walking away from me.

"Mom! Mom! Mom!" I shouted that made her stop.

"Is what I am telling you to call me aunt Karin that hard?" she asked with firm in her voice.

"I won't call you that because you're my mom! And I won't get tired calling you and treating you like that!" I yelled. "I knew already that we are not blood related, so what?! It doesn't even matter to me." I paused, "you know what matter to me?"

"Enough with that nonsense things, Asuna. Just go and train yourself." she coldly said.

"What matters to me is you! You treating me like your own daughter!! Raised me, fed me and clothed me. You protected me with gentleness and love." I mumbled.

"I just did what I needed to do." she replied. "Let's stop this nonsense talk."

She continues to walk again, "No! I won't unless you bring back my mother. I want my mom Karin back!!"

She turned and looked at me with her teary eyes, "Why are you so hard headed?!"

"Mom.."

"Enough, Asuna! Please that's enough!" she shouted.

"I want my mom back." I mumbled continuously.

"If you keep saying those things... I might can't stop myself. This isn't right, Asuna." she uttered.

"Mom!" I run towards her and hugged her tight. She sighed then caressed my long hair, "If you keep doing this to me, Asuna..." she stopped from talking then she whispered, "you're not mine."

"I don't care." I closed my eyes, still hugging her with love, "I love you, mom. That what really matters the most, our love to each other keep us connected."

"Oh, Asuna.." she murmured, "why are you making everything for me so hard."
