Chapter 38 (Agony)

Sasuke's POV

"Where is my daughter now? Will she be okay?" Sakura said with worry in her face. "Now that we get to spend time with her and enjoy the way we wanted but now.. It's all gone, she's gone again."

"Calm down, mama.." it was Sarada who was comforting Sakura since I get here.

It's impossible that she'll run away from home. We already make it up with her. She is happy living with us. What's this again?

"Can't we just spend our time with Asuna? Can't we be happy as a family?"

"We will find her. I told Naruto about it. He already started looking for her."

"Papa," I looked at Sarada who called me, "start looking at the hideout." that made my eyebrow creased. "Why?" I asked. "Just do what I'm saying, papa." she mumbled.

"Okay." I respond.

"Be safe. Take her home as soon as you find our daughter." Sakura muttered and I nod as my answer.

I leave the house going to where Naruto is. I'll ask him about the search for my daughter.

If someone might kidnapp her, I guess it's about her chakra again. I must protect and reassure her safety when I finally get her back.

"Naruto, how is it?" I asked when I reached where he was. He looked down with that small smile, "I don't want to lie, Sasuke. Still no clue about Asuna."

"I'll search away from our village. She might be there." I mumbled. "Grab the opportunity then, Sasuke. I'll tell the anbu to be with you." Naruto said. I gave him a nod and decided to leave.

I'm now heading to the hideout. I'm just a bit confuse, why would Sarada tell me to go here first? What will I look there? Never mind. I trust my daughter so I'll do what she suggests me to do.

"Hang in there, Asuna. I'll find you soon."

Asuna's POV

Why the heck I am wearing a blindfold?! I am being tied too! Shanarō!

I forced myself to get out from being tied but it's too tight. I feel like I'm so weak at this moment.

"Let me go!" I yelled. "I wanna go home. Mama is waiting for me."

"Those months spending with them are enough." that voice, I shouldn't be mistaken. I knew that voice well!

"What do you mean?!"

He chuckled, "right from the start, you were marked mine."

I flinched, "I wasn't anyone's property but myself!"

"Really?" he said in a sarcastic tone. "You rascal! I thought we can trust you all but we were wrong! You're a traitor, Kenzou! Three of you are traitor!" I couldn't hold it any longer. I let my anger out.

"So you knew?" he asked, amused. "What do you think of me? An idiot? I was raised being smart, dumb." I respond. I felt him untie my blindfold. My vision were dark and blurry but soon came back from normal.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked. "Why? What will you get from kidnapping me and taking me away from my family?"

"Simple." he grinned, "I'll take your chakra and transfer it to my body. After a decade of waiting, I can finally use you and take what's mine."

I scowled, "can't you stop owning something that isn't really yours?"

"What I want is what I get, that's what makes me own what I wanted." he mumbled.

"Aren't you getting tired of being like that? Not everything you want is what you get, Kenzou. Accept it." I muttered.

"No!" he said in a firm tone. "I have killed thousands of people just to consume their chakras. My ancestors lived for thousands of years doing this."

"Does this mean, what you did for the past years taking care of me was a lie?" I mumbled. He was silent for a second. "It was just an act." I stare at him intently, "all of it?"

"All of it." he replied. "Now that you know my plan. Say goodbye to your beloved family."

"Are you sure that I'm that easy?"

"I got you here. You're tied up. Nothing you can do more, Asuna."

"You are not dreaming, weren't you?"

"Absolutely not."

"Supposed to be.. You're the one who's going to say goodbye." I gave him a smile. "What?"

I now drop the rope they used to tie me. Then, I get myself up and faced Kenzou with my playful smile.

"You served as my sensei for years.. You were teaching me accurately, Kenzou. But I'm not an idiot." I activated my sharingan and also my chidori.

"I was born an Uchiha with an extraordinary chakra. No one can fool me." I paused.

"Because y'all will be fooled by me."

Sasuke's POV

"Karin. Suigetsu." I called their names as I walked inside the hideout. Are they here?

"Kenzou?" I called them once again. Expecting that some of them might show themselves up.

"Sasuke?" it was Karin who showed up. "What are you doing here?"

"I came here to ask something."

"About what?"

"Did you feel something strange here?"

"What strange?"

"Missing the or something?"

She held her chin to think in a serious way. As expected, Suigetsu showed up. "Hey, Sasuke." he approached me.

"Nothing." she said. "I need to finish the experiment. Ask Sui about that instead and tell Asuna that I miss her."

"What are you two talking about?" Suigetsu asked, full of curiosity, looking at me intently.

"Did you feel something strange around here?" I asked him. He made a gesture like thinking before he gave me a respond, "well, there was."

"Tell me about it."

"Why do you wanna know, Sasuke?"

"I just want to."

"Well, a man suddenly showed up and kept asking random question which is completely strange."

I gave him a bored look, "I'm not as stupid as you." he gave me a smug face also, "you're so mean."

I shook my head in disbelief. When will I ever find my daughter when this dumbass in front of me is making me annoyed. How can I deal with an idiots like him?

"Asuna went missing!" there I said it, will he be able to conclude with the situation we are in now? "Oh, Asuna is missing.." he mumbled nodding his head. What an idiot he always been.

I "tsk" when he's still being a dummy then, "what?! Asuna is missing?! Since when?!" I was about to hit his head when Karin interrupts.

"Did you say Asuna is missing?"
