We were going bowling! Oh my god! Even though I sucked at bowling, I still loved it. It brought back memories from when I used to play with my family and friends.
There was this one time, I went bowling with my two best friends; Anna and Julie. We were laughing so hard and it was my turn to bowl, so I swung the bowling ball, still giggling. The bowling ball went flying... in the wrong direction. We all proceeded to burst out into laughter but then the manager came over and kicked us out.
I small smile tugged at my lips as the memory flashed through my mind. Where were Anna and Julie now? I sighed at the thought. They were probably getting sold as pets as well. I would give anything to see my family and friends again, just to say goodbye. I missed them a lot, but I tried to forget about them.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when the limo pulled to a stop. I opened the door to see an enormous bowling center. The surface of the building was a deep purple which gleamed in the sunlight, so it must be new. It was a vampire bowling alley. No! I didn't want to fail in front of a bunch of leaches.
"Don't worry, pet, I'll get us a private alley," Seth smiled reassuringly.
I let out a sigh of relief and nodded at him. Why was he being so polite? It kind of weirded me out, to be honest. Maybe it was because for the last three years I have been abused by vampires. Just a thought.
He led me inside and took me to the reception counter.
"Hi, we would like to book a private bowling alley please," he asked politely.
The receptionist was practically gawking at him, not bothering to hide her admiration.
She gave him a flirty smile, "Of course, anything else?" she asked innocently as she batted her eyelashes and played with her light blond hair.
I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Why was I feeling jealous? He's a vampire, for god's sake.
"No, that's okay," he smirked as his eyes danced with amusement.
Stupid mind-reading vampire!
I felt his grip around my waist tighten and I let out a small yelp, signaling him to let go. He did, looking satisfied. I just glared at him. Asshole.
He just rolled his eyes playfully and shifted his gaze onto the dazzled vampire receptionist. He flashed her smile exposing his perfectly white teeth, causing her to blush like crazy and melt under his gaze. What an ass. He knew the effect he had on her so he just exploited it. The jealousy seemed to rise, though.
"Y-Your alley is right this way," she stammered hurriedly as she led us to the alley.
Seth picked up my leash once again and walked behind her gracefully. Every movement he made was graceful yet dominant, like a lion. I honestly felt like a clumsy oaf next to him. I scurried after him, struggling to keep up with his long strides. After about three minutes of walking, we reached the alley. Finally. The receptionist shyly waved and left.
I stared at him in complete disbelief, "That was kind of mean, what you did to that poor receptionist."
"What did I do?" he asked, sounding genuinely surprised.
"You made her blush an- did you not notice?" I asked incredulously.
"No..." he trailed off, scrunching his eyebrows together.
I just sighed and facepalmed. How could someone so smart be so dumb?
"Let's just start the game," I sighed again, gesturing to the bowling balls.
Seth
I honestly had no idea what my pet was on about, but I let it slide. I shrugged off my jacket and caught Chloe staring at me, well, my chest.
"It's rude to stare, pet," I smirked and chuckled as her cheeks turned crimson and she looked away.
"I wasn't staring," she mumbled, more to herself than to me.
She's really something. It was fun to say such things to her and watch her get flustered.
"Alright, it's your turn first, sweetheart," I grinned and gestured to the bowling balls which gleamed in the light.
Her small hands hovered over the different sizes before she finally picked one and tested it. She then walked over to the alley and flung the ball at the pins. She didn't hit any of them. She was bad but in a cute way. She pinched the bridge of her nose and groaned.
'Why did I pick bowling?' she thought to herself, regretting the decision.
"Well, it was your idea, darling," I laughed as I picked a ball and walked over to the alley.
"Ever heard of privacy?" she sneered.
"Yes, but you make it so tempting to dig around that big head of yours," I chuckled and looked up innocently to see her stunned expression.
"Did you just call my head big?" she asked as the surprise turned to anger.
"You asked," I smirked teasingly.
She squeezed her eyes shut in annoyance as she released a long sigh, "Just go," she waved me over to the alley.
I grinned and threw the ball, earning a strike. I stood up and smiled, feeling satisfied. I turned around to see Chloe's mouth ajar. I flashed her a smile and placed my fingers underneath her chin, shutting her mouth gently.
"H-How did you do that?" she asked, still stunned.
"Bowling isn't that hard, pet," I shrugged nonchalantly.
She snorted but didn't say anything. She just grabbed another ball and crouched, preparing to fling the ball at the pins. She was doing it wrong. So wrong. I came up behind her placed one hand on her waist and another on the bowling ball. I felt her tense below me. Her breath hitched when my hand touched hers.
"Relax, Chloe, I'm not going to rape you or anything," I rolled my eyes.
She gulped and nodded. I brought my chest closer to her back and pulled her arm back.
"You don't have to think so much, just keep your mind clear. And don't keep your wrist so tense, let loose. Always exhale when you throw the ball, it'll help your aim," I explained and guided her arm with mine.
She nodded and I aimed at the pins and threw the ball. This time, it hit all the pins and she got a strike. She turned towards me and grinned.
"I made a strike!" she laughed happily as she bounced with excitement.
I smiled at her happiness, "Yes, pet, you made a strike."
"I have never made a strike! This is my first time!" she squealed as she clapped her hands together.
"Well done, Chloe," I approved as I squeezed her hand and grabbed another ball.
I threw it with ease and it hit all the pins once again.
She pouted at me, "How come you find bowling so easy?"
"I'm a vampire, we generally have better aim."
She shot me a playful glare got up to get another ball. She threw it and I knew it wasn't going to hit any pins. God, she was hopeless. I used my ability and moved the ball a little to the left so that it would hit the pin in the middle. When it did, all the other pins got knocked off along with it.
She turned towards me, a cocky smirk gracing her lips, "You have some tough competition, Seth."
"I certainly do," I chuckled and reached out for another ball.
