Bowling was so fun. Seth won, unfortunately. The scores were so close, which was strange because I am terrible at bowling. Strange.

Anyway, after finishing off, we headed back home. We were now in the limo, driving back to the mansion.

"Did you have fun, pet?" Seth asked, breaking the silence.

"Yes, I did," I smiled happily, "Thank you."

Seth's eyes widened in mock surprise, "I didn't think the phrase 'thank you' was in your personal dictionary."

I glared at him playfully and looked down, "Seth, I'm hungry."

"As usual," he muttered under his breath.

"Excuse me?" I frowned and crossed my arms

"What do you want to eat?" he asked, ignoring me.

"Pizza," I piped up.

"Something that isn't made up of 90% grease," he furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.

What kind of person didn't like pizza?

"Fine, a burger," I demanded.

I would kill for a burger right now.

"That's still unhealthy, Chloe," he disapproved.

"Please!" I squealed and used my puppy dog eyes, "I've been a great pet so far."

"Debatable," he shrugged but he was trying to suppress a smile.

"Hey! I have been an awesome pet," I argued, not taking no for an answer.

He gave me an irritated look before he sighed, "Fine, you can have the burger, just this once."

I gave him a smug look.

He just smirked back, "Don't make me change my mind, pet."

I looked out the window and noticed that we weren't going back to Seth's mansion.

"Seth, where are we going?" I asked innocently.

"To my friend's house," he responded, staring at the window.

"You have friends?" I asked, shock evident in my expression.

"The fate of your burger is still in my hands," he warned before I could make another snarky comment.

"Fine," I groaned, feeling annoyed, "What's your friend's name?"

"Madelaine," he replied, a small smile gracing his lips, "You'll like her."

"I very much doubt that," I scowled, feeling repulsed at the thought. Seth was the only bearable vampire I have met so far.

"Well, I don't," he grinned.

I glowered at him. Honestly, if I frowned more, my face would scrunch into itself.

The limo once again gradually halted to a stop. I let out an irritated sigh as we exited the car. Seth once again took my leash and led me into the house. This house was only slightly smaller than Seth's. The guard standing at the gates recognized Seth immediately and bowed respectfully. I just rolled my eyes and walked in after him.

As we entered the house, Madelaine came to welcome us. She was drop-dead gorgeous. She had fiery red hair that was curled up, framing her face. She had big, seductive eyes which were chocolate brown. Her lips were pulled into a huge grin as she approached us. I heard a few voices behind her, signaling that there were other people here.

"Seth!" she giggled as she approached him, pulling him into a warm hug. He returned the embrace.

"Maddie," he laughed as he pulled away, still holding onto her, "How have you been?"
