Megan's POV:
After changing and packing a bag of my things I write a letter to Alex:
'Dearest Alex,
I'm sorry. I truly am. I wanted to say goodbye in person, but I knew that you would be able to convince me to stay. And to be honest, that is not what I need right now, I need to go back. Please don't think that any of this is your fault, it isn't. You are the reason that I have been happy and stayed so long, you've been my rock. But sadly, I have to admit that I don't belong here. I'm never going to be able to be like one of those princesses, and I know that is what you need and what you deserve. You are an amazing person, and an amazing Royal Advisor, and I know that I am holding you back from being your full potential, so I'm doing what I should have done a long time ago. I'm letting you go, I'm setting you free from the weight that I pull on you. Just remember that I love you, and I will be forever grateful that Ben gave me the chance to come here and see who I truly am. But I need you to move on, despite my love I still hold for you. My only wish is for you to be happy with someone else, someone who meets the standards of a Lady of the Court, someone who likes the reporters, the parties and the dresses. I know I don't deserve anything, but I do ask for one thing. Make sure that everyone continues to accept Jay, Evie and Carlos, because from the moment they set foot in Auradon, I knew that they belonged here, so please keep them safe. I love you, and will forever.
Love, Megan.'
I sign the note, and make my way to Evie and Mal's room. As I open the door, I hear crying from inside. I open the door, and am shocked to see Mal crying, but also in her Isle clothes. She looks to me.
"I don't belong here." She says to me.
"Neither." I reply, tears coming down my face too.
"Come on, Meg. Let's blow this popsicle stand." Mal says. I nod, I grab my letter and put it on the desk, taking of my ring from Alex, I place it gently on top. There is then a hand next to me, and I see that Mal has also written a note and put Ben's beast ring on top of it. She aggressively, but emotionally, pokes holes into a small box with a pencil and puts mom into it.
"Ready to go?" I ask her. She nods and we grab our bag. As we leave, we make sure no one is there and we climb onto Mal's motor bike. I hold onto her hips while we ride towards the water's edge. As we get there, she stops on the edge and looks to the Isle. "Noble stead, proud and fair. You shall take us anywhere." I incant from memory, I wave my hand and the bike has a small purple glow.
"Please work." Mal begs. I nod in agreement, she then drives into the water and we bounce along the top, and finally get through the barrier of the Isle. I smirk as we ride through the streets of the Isle, people having to dive out of the way of us. As we get to a street, Mal stops. I look to a pillar to see two posters for the Royal Cotillion, one of myself and Alex, the other of Mal and Ben. It's strange because there is graffiti all over them, except on myself. I shrug and rip the poster off the wall, Mal doing the same with hers. We screw them up and throw them to the floor, then driving off to our hideout. Mal parks the bike under the metal stairs and then we get off and go towards the entrance of our place. I grab a rock and throw it at a sign saying: 'Danger, Flying Rocks'. The sign moves back with impact and the grate opens, I smirk to Mal as we make our way up the stairs. Back to where we belong...
