They arrived at the station.

Oh how tired and hungry she was.

She just hoped to get past the rest of this day and crash somewhere.

But she was relieved that Alpha found her, and surprised that he remembered her, what with barely even getting a glimpse of each other.

She finished up at the police department as quickly as she could. But it still took two hours.

And Alpha seemed okay with it all.

Until he got a call.

"Annie-Annie, slow down. What's wrong?"

Aria wasn't able to hear her reply, but by the look of his face...she could tell it wasn't good.

"O-okay, Annie. Call 911, I'm coming home now." Alpha hurriedly hung up and said goodbye to the officers.

"Alpha, what's wrong?" She grabbed his arm before he could leave.

He looked at Aria, with those soft puppy eyes of his.

"I'm sorry, Aria...my dad he...he stopped breathing. I've got to go home..."

His words hit her like a slap to the face.

"Oh Alpha...I'm so sorry...Is there any way I can help?"

Alpha thought for a moment, "Uh...yeah. Actually. Would you watch my siblings while I drive to the hospital?"

"Yeah, yeah of course."

"Okay, c'mon."

Alpha drove quickly to his house.

The ambulance was already taking his father away. His siblings were waiting for him in the doorway.

He walked over to the tallest one, she had short brown hair and purple glasses on.

"Annie," he said in a low tone, "This is Aria. She's gonna be watching over you guys while I go to the hospital with dad, okay?"

She nodded.

"You guys be good for her, okay?"

They all nodded again.

Then he turned to Aria, "Annie knows where the spare key is, lock the door. I'll be home soon okay?"

And now it was her turn to nod. He walked past her, to his car.

"Hey, Alpha!" He turned to face her, "Be safe, okay?"

He smiled.

"I will."

And with that, he was gone.
