She was leaving the court.

It was settled.

She would be moving that night.

To Texas.

Her friends sobbed, and so did she.

But the cruel day moved on.

She went to her next class.

Biology.

The class she shared with Milosh.

She would miss him so much.

She walked in and saw him, watching her innocently.

And she started crying again.

She sat down quietly.

He asked her if she was okay.

She said she wasn't.

He asked her if she wanted to talk about it.

At this, Summer almost smiled again.

Milosh never talked, and Summer would never talk to him.

She was afraid she would fall in love.

Love meant control.

But today she was leaving, it didn't matter anymore.

She told him talking would be nice.

And so the talked, in hushed voices, they talked because it would be the last time they ever saw each other.

"They're not even letting you finish out the school year?"

Summer nodded, "Sadly."

Milosh scoffed, "That's stupid."

"I know."

Milosh looked at her and smiled softly, "I'm sorry."

"Yeah," Summer said. "Me too."

Summer's knee started bouncing up and down, it happened often. It was something that she wasn't aware of, but Milosh was.

He rested a hand on her shaky one, in order to calm her down.

It did.

She took a deep breath.

Summer just felt so guilty.

She was leaving her friends in the dust.

And Milosh noticed it.

"Hey," He whispered. "You don't have to feel guilty. We know you can't help it."

Summer nodded, slightly taken aback by Milosh's incredible ability to read people.

Summer's eyes started watering again, "I know."

Summer intertwined her fingers with Milosh's and gave a squeeze.

It was a silent thank you

A silent goodbye.

A tear fell down Milosh's cheek.

"Hey," Summer softened. "This won't be the end. This can't be the end of Losh and Sum."

"I just...I feel like I never told you how much I value your friendship..."

Milosh's face scrunched up, like he was trying not to sob.

"I know, I know."

Summer and Milosh weren't the best of friends.

But then again, most people don't realize how much they love someone until they're gone.
