Chapter 21-Finn

"You don't have to be jealous, Bee." Finn shook his head. "I've got it so much worse than you realize."

  Beatrice took a shaky breath and exhaled. "I know...But Finn, it hurts. God it hurts so much."

"I know, Bee. I know."

Finn did  know.

After his sister died, Finn felt as though he could barely breath.

Paige was a part of him.

And he lost her.

He was afraid to lose himself too.

And so he ran.

And he hid.

He was terrified of the inevitable.

And his escape had been stolen from him.

Now he was here, in this hell hole, with a girl that was hurting.

Oh, god she was hurting so bad.

At least his parents loved him.

His parents cared enough to notice something was wrong and to get him help.

Even though Finn didn't want it.

His drugs were helping him, why were they so bad?

Finn didn't know.

But Beatrice only had her her boyfriend, and they hadn't talked in months.

Her parents could care less about how she was doing.

They only cared about what she was doing. If she had good grades, or made it back home before curfew. Or if she did her chores, got a job, small things like that that stressed her out.

And it broke his heart.

"I'm sorry, Bee."

"What do you have to be sorry for?" She asked, "I screwed up on my own."

Finn didn't want to hear this, but he knew he wasn't strong enough to help both himself and her.

He had to choose.

And he chose her.

Time passed, Finn seemed like he was getting better.

Oh how he had fooled them.

He was focused, no, determined, for Beatrice to get better. She deserved to be happy, Finn didn't.

He had made his mistakes on his own, but Beatrice, well, she was forced into her situations and cutting herself was her way of coping.

It was messed up and it was wrong, but then again, that's exactly what everyone told Finn about his drugs.
