Alpha was driving home.

It was a stressful day.

Kids wouldn't stop annoying him, Annie needed help with an assignment in the morning, and he got an F on his math final.

Just great.

Ugh, he was so done with today.

"Go!" He yelled at the car in front of him. Finally, the car moved and Alpha was able to pass him.

Only to see a hand, punched through the license plate.

Alpha's mind instantly went to Aria.

Alpha scrambled for his phone in order to call 911.

He followed the car.

As he was one the phone with some policeman, he kept up the speed.

He wouldn't loose her.

He described the car and where they were headed to the man.

Alpha was sweating.

Not only was this intense but he was nervous.

And worried.

What if he failed? What then?

Aria could die because he wasn't good enough.

He picked up the pace, weaving in and out of cars as best as he could.

And then he heard police sirens.

They were there but they were soft.

If Alpha stopped now, he'd loose her. And the cops wouldn't be able to get to her in time.

Suddenly, police cars were in front of the car. And they were slowing down, to a stop.

Alpha blocked the car in.

They took up one lane and the car wasn't going anywhere.

For nearly and hour, Alpha watched the driver and police officer talk.

Then he opened the trunk.

And Alpha almost started sobbing.

Inside was a crumpled figure, a girl. She had duct tape covering her mouth and long, ratty brown hair. You could tell it hadn't been washed in a long time. And she was barely dressed, just in her underwear.

And even from ten feet away, Alpha could see the fear written in her calming deep green eyes.

But what shook Alpha up the most was the fact that she was Aria.

One of the policemen arrested the driver while the other helped her out. He gave her a jacket to cover up with and freed her mouth of the duct tape.

Alpha soon realized that this would possibly be his last chance to see her again.

He wouldn't loose her this time.

He jumped out of his car.

"Aria!" He called.

She turned around slowly, still fragile from everything she had been through.

"Alpha?" She questioned.

Alpha smiled, she remembered him.

"Aria..." He breathed out.

Smiling through the tears, she ran to him, and Alpha did the same.

He trapped her in a hug, as she sobbed into his chest.

"Thank you," She whispered. "Oh Alpha, thank you so much..."

"I thought I lost you..." He whispered back.

She smiled at that.

After another moment, she pulled away. "I-I should go..." She wiped away the tears.

He nodded.

As she turned away, a cop spoke up. "Actually, Mr...?"

"Peterson."

He nodded, "We could use you as a witness, you were there when Ms. Stark was kidnapped, weren't you?"

"Yeah?..."

The policeman nodded again, "Would you like to follow us to the police department and answer a few questions for us?"

Alpha looked down at Aria, who had grabbed his hand.

"Uh..." He looked back at the officer, "Yeah, sure."

He looked back down at Aria. "Don't worry, I-I'll see you soon, okay?"

She nodded and slowly walked over to the policeman.

Alpha got into his car and noticed that his phone had started ringing.

He picked it up and looked at the caller ID.

It read Dad.

He answered it and started the car.

"Alpha?" A sweet little boys voice asked.

Alpha instantly softened, "Hi Li."

"Where are you?"

"I was on my way home, and I ran into something. I've got one more stop to make and then I'll be home okay?"

"Okay..."

"Is everything alright at home?"

"Yeah...we're fine."

Alpha breathed a sigh of relief.

"Okay, good. Get your homework and chores done. And ask Annie to make mac and cheese or something for dinner."

"Okay...I love you, Alpha."

Alpha started following the two police cars.

He smiled, "I love you too, Eli. Bye."

He hung up and dropped his phone back into the cup holder.

He breathed in and out as he drove, trying to relax a bit after today.

He was over joyed that he had found her, of course.

But he just couldn't believe it.

He had done something actually significant with his life.

And it made him happy.

Something he hadn't felt since Thea died.
