8 months.
8 long and painful months.
I'll love you forever. He'd tell her.
Filling her head with lies.
She knew he was lying.
Yet she went along with it anyway.
She couldn't stand the idea of Kaleb hating her, not loving her.
In fact, it terrified her.
What she didn't know was that he already hated her.
Already didn't love her.
She sat in a dark corner of some locked basement, in only her underwear.
Crying.
Kaleb was out for the moment, she didn't know where he was, she didn't know when he'd be back.
It was like that most of the time.
He only came near her when he was craving one thing, lust.
She had tried many times to escape, but the room was small and had nothing else in it but a small, dirty, twin sized mattress that her would force her onto.
Suddenly, Aria heard footsteps, and the click of a lock.
She pressed herself farther into the corner, covering her face with her arms.
Kaleb walked in, and quickly, the room filled with the smell of alcohol and drugs.
He came towards her quickly, ready to suffice his needs.
Aria started breathing heavily and cried, silently.
Kaleb grabbed her by the arm and she let him drag her.
She was too weak by now.
He only fed her enough to keep her alive.
He undid his belt first, then tore down his pants, and off went the shirt.
And Aria wanted to die.
When he was finished, he backed away and started to re-dress himself.
"Tomorrow," he said. "We're leaving."
Aria looked at him weakly, hoping he wasn't lying.
Moving meant there was a possibility she could alert someone and be rescued.
She could hope.
For once, she actually slept well, she would need her strength for the day to come.
