[Name] huffed as she traipsed around the place, exploring what else crazy ass Sasuke had in his home. After going through her wing of the home and Sasuke's room, she'd found herself staring at a patch of wall just down the hallway from the Uchiha's room. For some reason, it looked out of place to her, even though it was the exact same as every other spot on the wall. Hesitantly, she leaned forward and knocked.

There was an echo.

[Name] frowned, and turned around, knocking on the piece of wall behind her. No echo. She walked down the hallway, doing the same thing yet again. At about every five inches she stopped to knock, listening out for an echo. She never got one.

Slowly backing her way back down the hallway, [Name] stood at the wall again. She knocked, and in return, there was another echo. Her stomach was knotted and she felt queasy; something was off. There was something behind that wall that she couldn't quite grasp.

Pressing both her palms flat against the velveteen wallpaper, [Name] began sliding her hands around to see if she could feel anything out of the ordinary. When she didn't, she sighed, and stepped back in defeat. Maybe the wall was just a wall.

Or maybe it wasn't.

[Name] frowned and bit her lip as she thought of what she should do.

"Break through and risk getting punished by Sasuke for destroying his property?" she thought aloud, tapping her chin thoughtfully. She then shrugged it off. The imminent pain was more trouble than it was worth.

[Name] huffed and turned away, stomping back to her room. Passing the clock on the way, she stopped and stared. It was now ten past nine.

[Name] frowned. Sasuke was usually home by eight thirty. He must've gotten caught in traffic or something. Not that she cared, of course. The longer he stayed away from the house, the more breathing space she had. Making her way back to her own room, [Name] scowled and violently thrust the door open, stomped in, and slammed it shut behind her.

As soon as she did, she was plunged into darkness.

"Um...?"

[Name] reached for the place where her light switch was, and flicked it. Nope. No light.

She gingerly reached for the door, turning the knob and opening it a crack. The entire hallway was dark, too. [Name] paled at the sight and quietly shut her door, as if afraid to awaken some sleeping beast.

Slowly and swiftly, she tip toed her way to her bed, getting in and pulling the covers over her head.

"It's just a power cut, it's just a power cut..." she repeated to herself over and over again, trying to overcome the new feelings of fear that had cascaded upon her.

[Name] wasn't afraid of the dark, so why was she acting like this?

"Stop it, [Name]. stop it!" she whispered ferociously. She squealed at every little sound, and mentally chastised herself for being such a child. It was her home! Why should she be afraid of anything?

Closing her eyes and whispering a little prayer to whoever was listening, [Name] got to her feet and briskly made her way out of her room, heading towards the kitchen. She was very accustomed to the place; she knew every nook and cranny off by heart.

The longer she walked in the darkness, the calmer and more at peace she felt about being there. As soon as her bare feet came into contact with the cold tiles of the kitchen floor, she felt comfortable enough to begin humming the song Sasuke had strictly prohibited.

Stalking her way to the bench where the cutlery was placed, [Name]'s mind widened as she began to recall the words to her forbidden tune.
