[Name] fumbled her way in the dark for the knife stand, looking for a weapon just in case someone had the nerve to break in.

"Aha- ouch!" The blade slipped from [Name]'s hand and clattered onto the bench, slicing her palm as it did so. The girl scowled and vigorously shook her hand, trying to numb the pain that was beginning to shoot up.

"For the love of god," she muttered to herself, carefully feeling around the bench for the fallen blade. Nope. She couldn't find it. And she definitely was not going to risk her one good hand looking for it. Keeping her hand on the edge of the bench, [Name] headed over to the drawer where all the normal cutlery was kept, and pulled out what she felt to be a fork.

It'll do, she thought grimly to herself, picking up the pronged item and beginning to make her way back to her room.

Meanwhile, certain men by the names of Shikamaru Nara and Menma Namikaze had managed to cut out the power of the Uchiha mansion, thus ensuring that they could get over the fence without having to open it. Making sure that their cars were parked a far distance away from the driveway, the men climbed over the high rising fence and landed with gentle thuds as they met the ground. It was mediocre, really; the only sort of security Sasuke invested in was that damned fence and all its electrical wires and such. He held too much faith in the thought that no one would be so brash as to even think about getting past the gate.

"Woah, Sasuke spends so much time at work you wouldn't think he has time to take care of his place," said the Namikaze as he and Shikamaru strolled down the footpath leading to the Uchiha's front door. The lawn was lined with classical statues, perfectly trimmed topiaries, and flowers that undoubtedly did not match Sasuke's personality. Shikamaru rolled his eyes.

"Anyway, judging from how much effort he put into his gate, I'm not sure about what kind of security he has set up in his house," frowned the Nara as he and Menma ascended the stairs to the front door. He was actually really surprised that nothing had leapt out at them yet. Menma placed his hand on the knob of the door, and slowly turned it.

It opened without a sound.

"Talk about high tech security," joked the blonde-now-black-haired man, chuckling as he brashly stepped into the house. Before Shikamaru could stop him, he had already stepped in.

Silence.

No blaring of alarms, no wailing. Just complete and utter silence.

And darkness.

"Split up, or go together?" asked Shikamaru in a small voice, turning on the flashlight in his phone.

"I'd say split up, but if Sasuke gets here, it'd be better if we both got away together," said Menma, pulling out his phone and turning on his flashlight. "And I swear to god I'm not into you. I like girls."

Shikamaru chuckled.

"Stay quiet anyway though, alright? We don't know what he might have in here," he added as a precaution. Menma nodded in agreement, and the two walked ahead, their lights coming upon a split staircase. One, leading up to the right. The other, leading up to the left.

"This way," whispered Shikamaru, striding over towards the left wing. They had no time to spare, and, truth be told, he was already getting the creeps.

"Right!"
