Chaos followed suit. 

Shikamaru arrived two minutes later to find a bawling Menma cradling a limp [Name] in his arms, crying as he tried his best to stop her blood loss. Even though it was already apparent, Menma wouldn't stop trying to revive his brother's girlfriend, not even when the paramedics arrived. Soon, the entire Uchiha property was being flooded by police and detectives, many of whom were deeply disturbed by the gruesome scene they came across.

"Pretty sad scene, don't you think?" 

Head detective Inoichi Yamanaka sighed as his subordinate pointed out the obvious.

"Very. Just imagine what's coming next."

Needless to say, the entire Uchiha Corporation was thrown into disarray when news of the incident reached their ears. Respectively, Shikamaru resigned as chaos ensued, and the future of the business was brought forward to the table. Eventually, a decision was made to cast a vote on who would take over, and as a result, Sasuke's former second-in-command, Suigetsu Hōzuki, took the reins as the leader of the booming corporation. 

Then yet another argument was brought up: to keep the name Uchiha, or completely re-brand the structure? All around the world, news of Sasuke Uchiha was spreading like wildfire, and little by little, companies began to cut off business with the firm, claiming that they didn't want anything to do with their tarnished reputation. The company was eventually bought out by the generous Senju Corporation, led by a woman named Tsunade Senju, who still saw potential in the declining firm.

A triple funeral was set in to motion. Alongside [Name] and Sasuke's bodies, Naruto's two year old corpse was also buried. The Uzumaki and [Surname] were laid to rest in the same grave, while debates rose about whether or not Sasuke should even be allowed to be buried in the same cemetery as them. 

After much unrest and controversy, the Uchiha was set to lie in a grave not more than five sites away from the couple. [Name]'s family's reaction was the most horrid of them all, her mother especially. Having to go through losing her child again, the woman had a seizure when she saw her daughter's body after discovering that she had been alive all this time. She was not young, and the seizure affected her quite a bit.

After the funeral service, Shikamaru caught up to Menma, who was standing before [Name] and Naruto's yet to be marked burial spot.

"Hey." The Nara laid a hand on Menma's shoulder. The Namikaze furiously wiped tears from his eyes, looking up to face Shikamaru.

"Why did he do it?" he asked in a soft voice. "Why? Why did it have to be Naruto and [Name]? Why couldn't he go and ruin someone else's life? Why, Shikamaru?"

The pineapple haired genius sighed and shook his head.

"Love is one of the most dangerous things there is," said Shikamaru. "No matter how twisted, sincere or heartfelt love is... it will always be a dangerous thing."
