AU Sanses x Reader Part 1 (Inspired by @anythinganamatoinz)

You were always shy and not really that vocal about your life. But that was only because of getting abused every time you tried to speak.

Your home was no longer a place you went normally. You would sleep on a bench or in an alleyway. The stray dogs around town enjoyed your company, as did the cats.

You were only able to speak with the animals in a hushed voice, never able to speak like a normal person would. Your only place of safety was with the dogs.

Speaking of which, they woke you by barking and growling at something. You stirred, and heard a male voice speak.

"I'm not going to hurt her... I just want to look at her injuries, okay?" His tone was quiet, like yours.

The dogs slowly stopped growling, and you stirred again, blinking your tired eyes open.

The cardboard boxes had been soaked through from the rain the night before, and you were shivering from the rain hitting you.

You sneezed quietly, and the dogs curled around you. You cuddled into their fur, thankful you had them as friends.

You felt a cold hand touch your forehead and flinched away. You were fine with your warmth. You took note of how the hand felt like bone, and not skin.

You heard a quiet curse of frustration, "We'll, she's burning up... pups, you can come with us if you want to. I'm only gonna take care of her."

You felt yourself get lifted, and you whimpered in fear. But soon, you blacked out.

You shifted a bit, feeling something warm wrapped around you. Your eyes were unable to open, yet you were awake. You heard an ongoing conversation.

"CLASSIC, THIS IS RIDICULOUS! KEEPING A HUMAN IN OUR HOUSEHOLD?! FELL WILL FLIP!"

"Chill, Blue... He might flip, but I will NOT let this human get hurt. I made a promise to Toriel, remember?"

"I KNOW, BUT-!"

"Shhh.... She's waking up... I'll handle this. You go get Ink and Dream. They're the only ones not likely to want to destroy our guest."

"WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?"

"Eh... I dont know if we should get him too... he acts like me, so the personality isnt going to be a problem. I'm only worried because she's got a fever, and I don't want his feathers causing an issue."

"GOOD POINT..."

"Yeah... so go grab Ink and Dream. They'll be more than happy to have a new friend."

Hearing the fast paced footsteps, you slowly opened your eyes, blinking the blur away from the edges of your vision, to see a skeleton?!

"Hey there, kiddo... you doing alright? You were in pretty bad shape when I found you..." He uttered.

You whimpered quietly, and tried to get up, but your head spun. You couldn't stand. Your balance was thrown off. You still tried, and ended up stumbling.

"Whoa! Easy there, kiddo...! I'm not gonna hurt ya... here, let me just..."

You felt hands gently pick you up in bridal style, and you were placed on a soft couch. It was warm and welcoming. Your head slowly eased on the spinning, but there was something else wrong.

"My name's Sans... But you can call me Classic..." He smiled.

You shuddered, but smiled nonetheless. He hadn't tried to hurt you yet. However, your guard was still up. Suddenly, a blur of light blue ran downstairs.

"CLASSIC! WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" A shorter skeleton, just barely shorter, yelled. He wore a blue bandana, and what looked to be a battle suit.

"Blueberry, what's going on?"

"LETS JUST SAY FELL AND RASPBERRY FOUND OUT!"

"Oh sweet mother of Asgore... Okay, you go and get Ink and Dream."

"BUT WHAT ABOUT-"

"WHERE IS THE HUMAN?!" You heard a voice exclaim.

You looked up seeing a skeleton that looked like Blueberry, but wore more intimidating clothing. Was everyone here just a skeleton or what?

"I don't know what the f*** gave you the idea there was a human, but if there is one, then I'll help ya catch it..." Another voice... a skeleton with a gold tooth, sharp teeth, and red, piercing eyes.

You swallowed, and their eyes locked onto yours. You whimpered again, curling up and uttering something quietly.

"P-Please don't hurt m-me!"

Classics POV:

Poor girl... she was scared to death! I glared at Fell and Raspberry, "Alright you two, that's enough... back the hell off..."

Ink and Dream rushed downstairs, and Dream ran to the girl curled up on the couch. He placed his hand on the girl's side, and a soft yellow glow came from his hand.

The young girl instantly began to calm down. She slowly uncurled, and looked at Dream with a worried expression.

"It's alright, human... we won't hurt you..." He explained.

I smiled warmly at the girl, and she uttered a name.

"(Y-Y/n)..." she muttered.

"Is that your name?" Ink asked.

She nodded.

"Quiet type, huh? Well, you know me. This is Blueberry,"

"HELLO THERE HUMAN!"

"Raspberry,"

"HMPH... WHATEVER..."

"Fell,"

"Hey there, sweetheart..."

"Ink,"

"Hello there!"

"And Dream."

"Hi."

I smiled at the girl's reaction. She seemed in awe.

"HUMAN, WE WOULD NEVER HURT YOU! JUST KNOW THAT, OKAY?" Blue uttered proudly.

"I... uh... um..." She kept muttering under her breath, as if she were afraid to speak.

One sentence was clear, but... It shattered my soul to hear it...

"For speaking..... I got hurt......"
