I want to be with him again...

You watered the flowers, smiling and humming. It had been years since Sans had left. You missed him, but... You couldn't leave. Your robes were flowing in the breeze coming from beyond the barrier.

Twilight was drawing closer once more.

You let a tear fall. It hit the petal of a golden flower. Sans loved when you showed him those.

You heard footsteps, and a tiny voice.

"Excuse me, ma'am?"

You smiled, finishing the watering of the flowers. "One moment. I am almost done." You put down your watering can, and turned, smiling kindly, "Hello there! How can I-?"

A human child, no older than 12 it seemed, stood there. You froze. You knew it. The seventh soul. It was here. You sighed, turning your head away.

"I knew this day would soon come... Child, if you wish to continue..... follow me... this way..."

You led them to the barrier. You stomped your foot, and 7 canisters came up, one empty, the other 6 holding human souls. So, this was how the story ends? 7 murdered children, and for what? Your king to leave and never return?

You were queen, yes, but a king should rule. You had to make decisions now. You knew. You just... knew...

You didn't smile. You looked through the shining barrier.

Everything monsters ever wanted...

Was about to become reality...

You looked to the child, letting tears silently stream as you recited lines you had made to the other 6 humans.

"Human... it was a pleasure... But... I have to do this... goodbye, child..."

You hesitated. A child, so young... You waited so long, that you heard the child gasp.

"Dad!" And run off.

You shook your head. Monsters were counting on you. You looked up, seeing the child gone. In your shock, you turned around.

"... Sans-?"

"(Y/n), I can not believe you! About to kill this young kid?!"

Sans crossed his arms angrily at you. You took a step back. You had killed 6 before. Why was this one so difficult-?!

Suddenly, another few monsters ran in. You recognised two. Undyne, captain of the royal guard, and Alphys, the royal scientist.

You smiled, "Undyne, Alphys... Pleasure to see you again, old friends..."

Sans glared at you, and you shrunk back a bit. You knew he was mad. You had murdered 6 human children.

"(Y/n), you need to earn forgiveness. I won't talk to you unless you want to reconcile with me properly." Sans glared.

You sighed in defeat, "Of course..."

Years later, on the surface:

After that day, the barrier was broken by an unknown force. You didn't care. Monsters were free. Frisk was the ambassador or the monsters, and you were one of the leads of the monster human council.

Sans had become a therapist, surprisingly. You knew because you all chose to live together in a mansion. Frisk often visited you. You would tell them about your life with Sans occasionally, but then act like nothing had ever been spoken about your life with him.

You even said one time that you wanted Sans to be with you again, and that you wished you could reverse time back to when you were happy.

The human child knew you and Sans had been together for ages. You two were married at some point after all. You had to be!

Frisk devised a plan with the help of Alphys and Undyne.

Sans was reading up on Frogs, not surprising, when Frisk raced in, panting and burnt. Sans immediately took action, standing and healing Frisk.

"What happened?" He asked.

"U-Undyne attacked me... surprise training lesson, but now she's after (Y/n)!" Frisk exclaimed, panicking.

Sans froze. "Where are they now, kiddo?"

Frisk panted a bit, "This way!" And ran to the scene, Sans close behind.

You saw Undyne racing towards you, and saw her grin wide in madness. You stepped back a bit. "Undyne... what are you-?"

Undyne fired spears at you. You didn't move. You took them, letting your HP drop. Sans hated you, no one respected the things you tried to do... what was left...?

The door burst open, and Sans immediately attacked Undyne. You stepped back further, questioning inwardly about why he would protect you.

Undyne smirked, and laughed, "Fuhuhu! Now, make up dorks!" She slammed the door shut, locking it with a magic only she could undo.

Sans looked at you, and instantly turned away. You felt pain in your soul, stronger than before. You growled, "I know you hate me... and I can't ask for forgiveness... so... why save me?... I don't deserve to be loved..."

Sans turned to you, his eyes showing how he wanted to comfort you, but he was holding back. You shook your head, (m/c) tears falling down your skull.

"So... I'll do it for you!" You shouted, summoning your bone attacks.

Sans was about to prepare to dodge, but saw them go towards you. He immediately used his magic to move you. You sobbed, falling to the ground.

"Wh-why?! You should h-hate me! I killed them! There! Are you satisfied?! I killed them!"

You felt arms wrap around you. You jolted, startled. Sans held you in his arms, calming you the best he could.

"I won't ever hate you.... I just.... need some time to forget is all... You were suffering all these years.... weren't you?" Sans whispered.

You nodded, gripping onto him and forcing yourself to calm down. It was what you always did now.

"S-sorry..." You muttered, pulling away.

Sans held you closer, "No, don't be... it isn't healthy to hold it in... just cry all you want..... I'm here..."

After about 10 minutes, you calmed completely. You used magic to clean Sans' robes, and pulled away from him. You still weren't smiling.

Sans looked at you, and kissed you quickly. He almost immediately stopped though, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. You pulled him back though, and... yeah...

When it was over, you heard a high five, and a cheering from the now open door. You smiled warmly, not caring. But then you heard-

"Get a room next time you two!"

It was Frisk. You immediately blushed, and stood up, dusting off your robes. Sans stood slower, seeing you frantically trying to apologise. He smiled at you, and turned you to face him. You instantly tensed.

"Meet me in the park tomorrow?" Sans asked, blushing a bit.

You smiled. This was going to be your chance to make things right. You nodded, "3pm sound good?"

Sans nodded. It was the time you had met.

It would all go up from here...

End.
