So, uh... Guess we have this now... I hope this is written well... Dragons will be from HTTYD series.

Sans was walking through the forest on the surface, when he heard a call of a dragon. It wasn't any dragon he'd heard of before, such as the Deadly Nadder or Monstrous Nightmare.

It was a high pitch roar too. He followed the sound, able to see a young night fury. It was injured. Sans slowly approached it, glancing around for an adult night fury, but there was nothing. Until he saw a dead night fury laying in the grass.

He decided to take care of this dragon... no matter what...

*timeskip brought to you by annoying dog*

"(Y/n)! Come on down here, girl!"

It had been a few years, and the Night Fury had grown up to be gorgeous. She had learnt how to fly, and was an expert at it. Her (e/c) eyes shimmered with happiness as she bounded towards Sans' call for her.

"Alright, this is your big day, girl! Ready to race?" Sans smirked, climbing on the dragon's back.

She roared, as if to say yes, and took off into the sky. They were racing Papyrus and his dragon, Solar the Deadly Nadder, around the island.

"READY TO LOSE, BROTHER?!" Papyrus smirked.

"No... Are you?" Sans smirked back.

"THE GREAT DRAGON RIDER PAPYRUS NEVER LOSES! YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT BY NOW!"

"If you say so... Let's go, (Y/n)!"

The night fury roared loudly, signaling the start of the race. Both dragons flew off. It was to go around the mountain, and through the sea pillars lining the island's ocean. (Y/n) and Solar were both extremely competitive, but Solar shoved (Y/n) out of the way, getting in front.

The dragons roared at each other, in a friendly competition. They both were not keen on losing this race. Sans looked at his brother with shock, "Why did you do that?"

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! IT SEEMS OUR DRAGONS WANT TO WIN MORE THAN WE DO...!"

"Alright, then we shouldn't keep them waiting, should we?!" Sans stated with determination, and the dragons could feel it. Both their riders were wanting them to win.

(Y/n) looked at her rival in this competition, and let out a small sound.

Translation for the dragons:

"Go on... You win this, and Papyrus would be so happy..." (Y/n) uttered, slowing down slightly.

Solar looked with confusion. "Why do you want me to win? Papyrus will be happy regardless of what we do! Besides, we're almost done with this race! Do you really want to give away the glory? Sans would be so proud of you for winning. You go ahead. I'll act injured."

(Y/n) smiled at her friend, as the female nadder slowed a bit, but acted like she was still trying. She hit a pillar on purpose, falling behind. (Y/n) hurriedly flew ahead, and made a sharp turn right to the village. When she landed, Solar landed behind her.

"Thanks..." (Y/n) smiled.

"Don't mention it. That did hurt though..." Solar whined a bit, stretching her wing.

End translation:

When both dragons landed, it was a handshake shared by both brothers and a roar from both dragons.

"Good job, Papyrus. I'm sorry you didn't-"

"SANS, YOUR DRAGON RIGHTFULLY WON. SOLAR CHEATED, (Y/N) WAS FOLLOWING THE RULES. I WOULDN'T HAVE ACCEPTED THE WIN IF I HAD WON, ANYWAY. IT WASN'T EARNED IN THE RIGHT WAY."

"Thanks, bro... Let's head home, alright?"

"OF COURSE."

They both flew off on their dragons, and back home.

After food, the dragons were on edge. Like they had seen something the skelebros couldn't. (Y/n) flinched, growling at a corner. Solar just sharpened her spines and was ready to attack.

Another translation from end of dinner:

"You see that?" (Y/n) asked, and Solar sharpened her spines.

"Yes... Do you notice how black and white it looks? Like it came from a void of some kind?"

"Yep... Do you want to attack, or should I?"

Before the decision could be made, Sans' voice rang to them.

End Translation:

"Girls, there's nothing there... It's okay..." Sans uttered, trying to settle the dragons.

Solar immediately calmed, going with Papyrus to her den, yet (Y/n) was still on edge. Her growling has stopped though. Sans began walking upstairs, but the dragon didn't follow.

"(Y/n), c'mon... We need to go to bed now..." Sans called to her.

She snapped out of the daze, thinking she was just tired. She went with Sans to her den, and curled up, Sans against her side. She wrapped her tail around him, and covered him with her wing.

"Night, (Y/n)... I'll see you in the morning..." Sans went to sleep, but (Y/n) refused.

She kept glaring at a corner, before finally relaxing and falling asleep. Unaware that her suspicions were correct...

End!
