Laine Hardy imagines and preferences

Far from home.

Don't get me wrong Louisiana is great, It will always be my home. Lately it hasn't felt like much of a home without laine. After he had won idol he had to move to LA for his record deal and management. Though we had agreed to make this work seeing as how neither one us of us wanted to leave each other. It has been one of the hardest challenges we have faced as a couple. Time differences, he's always busy. When we do get to talk it's for about 5 minutes before one of us has to go.
It was our usual time to FaceTime each other so I called him. He picked up immediately.

His smile is everything.
"Hey baby!" He said happily I looked at him a smiled weakly
"Hey laine" he looked confused.
"What's wrong my love?" He asked concerned
I stayed silent for a minute trying to find the right words to say to him.
I shrugged
"It's just getting hard ya know? Louisiana don't feel like home without you here. I miss you everyday. The time difference is hard to work around, one of us are always busy, we barely talk and when we do it's for 5 minutes before one of us has to go. It's just getting kind of exhausting ya know?" He just blinked at me a few times
"Y/n. It's my job.. we knew what we was getting  into when we agreed to do this long distance. We knew it would be hard. Believe me I miss you everyday too but this is my life now, new jobs comes new responsibility. I can't just drop everything like I used to."
"I know it's your job laine but I haven't actually seen your face in 3 months. I sometimes forget we are even together because we barely act like a couple.." I stated looking down.

*knocking at my door*
Shit. I forgot the guy was coming to fix my computer.
"Look laine I have to go." I replied
"Y/n wai-" I hung up before he could finish.

— Laines POV—
It's been a day since me and y/n kinda got into it over my job. I feel so guilty for just leaving her like that but we both knew what was going to happen.
"Laine, hellooooo you in there?" My manager said waving his hand at my face.
"Sorry what was you saying?" I asked shaking my head.
"What's wrong with you dude you've been acting weird all day."
I just shrugged.
"Okay..... like I was saying. The tour starts tomorrow. We booked a show in Ohio. Leaving as soon as possible make sure everything you need is on the bus by night fall. It's gonna be a long drive." He said walking away.

Ohio. Wait. Maybe I could make a stop?
I jogged up to my manager before he got too far
" is there anyway we could make a stop after the show tomorrow?" I asked hopefully.
"Depends on where the stop is"
"Louisiana." He thought about it.
"Fine but it would have to be fast".

Today makes the second day and not a word from laine. Maybe I was being too hard on him. We did know it was gonna be hard.
I got out of bed and did my morning routine before getting ready for the day.
I heard a knock on my door. I looked out the window.

Laine.
I opened the door.
Silence filled the air.
"What. What are you doing here?" I asked surprised
" I missed you. I haven't stopped thinking about you since our call ended. I love you y/n. I miss you."
" I love you too laine" I hugged him for the first Time in months
*honk*
"LANIE LETS GO RUNNING OUT OF TIME" his manager yelled
I looked at him sadly knowing he had to go again.
" come with me." He said looking at me.
"What"
"Come with me. Move to LA with me. Come on tour with me. I can't leave here knowing how hard it is for us to be apart." He said hopefully.
"Okay." I nodded smiling running to pack up as much as I could carry.
Finally. We can be together again.
