The amount of support from my new coming fame has been unimaginable.

Not only from my friends but from my family and of course my all too perfect girl Y/N.

Becoming a star isn't easy, though it always was a dream I never thought I'd chase. I needed that push my mom and y/n gave me, and now here I am winner of American Idol and touring around the globe singing and meeting all my new upcoming fans. I love it. I hate that I can't always bring my family or y/n due to her schooling and work.

I know they miss me as much I do them, and I never knew how to give them my appreciation. Until I heard Luke Combs "this ones for you" and I instantly knew that was the song I would dedicate to my family. I know it ain't much, but I just wanted to show something.

"He Eric" I asked looking at the goon of a manager in front of me.

"Hm" he said nothing looking up from his apple watch.
"You think I could cover a song at the show tomorrow night?" He looked up at me as if he was thinking about it.
"What song and by who? You know I have to get the ok to use the song and I have to fit it in to the set list"

"This ones for you by Luke Combs. I really wanna cover that song it would mean a bunch to me and my family"  he looked at me for a min pondering if he should go through all the work for me to cover the song.

He sighed

"Ok fine, I'll call around and see what strings I can pull but don't be surprised if he shoots you down."

I nodded

" all I ask is you try"

I have been on stage for about an hour the night is reaching its end, I saved this song for last I wanted to make sure everyone's phones was out so everyone back home would see it.

"As we reach the end of the night, as much as I don't want to leave y'all, it's been amazing and you guys have been great. But I'm really missin my folks and my girl back home and I just wanted to do something small for them as a token of my appreciation for all the support they have shown me from the beginning, this Ones for you"
