Alex ran out of the house shouting. "I'm going out for the day with a friend, be back soon." She ran out with her bag and giant goofy grin on her face. Roman just shook his head and smiled. Young love. She truly loves this boy he thought. He excused himself and went outside.

Alex waited outside and waited for Travis. She went to the porch and knocked. The door opened and there stood Travis. He looked happy, but his eyes said otherwise. He grabbed her hand and said bye to his foster parents. "So where we going, Mister Boyfriend," she joked. Travis looked at her and gave her a toothy smile. "Anywhere you want to go, darling," he told. As soon as he said that he saw her eyes twinkle.

She then went of running with Travis still holding her hand. Travis was surprised how such a small girl could have such strength. "Alex!!!" he shouted. Alex just laughed and kept on pulling Travis. This brought a smile to Roman's face. He saw the whole scene and he couldn't help, but smile. Alex really loved this boy. He then saw Riley squealing behind them, and he swore he heard church bells and hearts surrounding her.

But the couple didn't see, they were to busy joking around. But now Roman couldn't see the couple and he went inside.

~Meanwhile~

Alex and Travis were walking down the street, their hands interlocked. But something seemed of, like there was a bad feeling lingering in the air. Travis showed it to. He was quite and his mind was someplace else. He usually was chatting with her.

"Oi! Mr. Boyfriend~" she chirped in a sing-song voice. No response. He always responded. A grown grazed her lips, but she grin again.

"Babe."

No response.

"Darling."

No response.

"Trave."

No response

"Travis."

Still no response.

She frowned again and stopped walking. Travis was so deep in thought he kept on walking. Alex rolled her eyes and grabbed his wrist and pulled him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave his neck a light peck. Her hands massaging his brown locks.

When she pulled away, she saw a blush on his cheek, his brown eyes wide. "You weren't answering, I had to take extreme precautions,"she joked in a serious voice. Travis eyes widen again and he frowns. "Sorry, I...I was lost in thought. What did you want to ask me?" He questioned.

"Where are we going today?"

Replaced with a smile, his eyes glimmered."Just wait 'till we get there," he told. And then decided to drag her. Alex let out a squeak, but she went on.

Finally getting there, Alex realized where they were going. A carnival. She stopped dead in her tracks, she remember telling Travis she always wanted to go to a carnival. It was like a dream come true to her. Travis stopped a couple of feet in front of her.

"This ,my darling, is where we are going," he announced in a terrible British accent. Alex laughed and grabbed his hand, pulling his towards the carnival, not wanting to waste any time.

The rest of the day was spent with games and booths. It was the best. They laughed and joked around with each other. It was the most relaxed Alex saw Travis. She was happy for him, he has been very stressed lately.

They ended the day with a stroll in the park near Alex's house. They then stopped, hand in hand, not care in the world."Alex," Travis called out. Alex turned to him, a sign she was giving him all her attention. "I'm sorry," he whispered, letting go of her hand. She missed the warmth of his hand, it was like their hands were perfect puzzle pieces. It felt wrong not to have his hand in hers.

"Travis?" Her voice was filled with worry and could confusion.

"This may sound like the most shittiest reason in the world, but it's true. It not you, it's me," he spoke.

"I just need time," he continued "time to figure some stuff out. I need to get stronger so I can help my foster parents. They are going through some stuff. And I don't want you to see me weak. And right now I can't handle everything, so I just need a break. I'm....I'm sorry."

Anyone who had known Alex or Travis knew they loved each other. And it was obvious they were both hurting.

Travis gave her a bittersweet kiss, full of love and the last she would get. Oh how irony works, her best day ended being her worst one. Tears streamed down his face as her broke apart and leaned his forehead against hers.

"I'm sorry," he whispered and left. "T-Travis," she called out, her voice cracked and sounded broken. He didn't turn around and run to her saying it was a horrible prank and that he was sorry. He just kept on walking, his head low. And without her knowing it he was gone.

She wrapped her arms around herself and she walked home. She didn't pay attention to anything and was completely on auto-pilot. And she was just shocked of what happened.

That was until she got home. The shock feeling subsided and reality hit her. He was gone. And she finally registered his words. It was done. No more hugs. No more kisses. No more dates. No more I' love yous'. No more late night talks. No more Travis.

A sobbed escaped her throat and tears streamed like rivers down her face. Thomas and the Sides heard and came rushing in. But before anyone could ask her questions, she ran to her room with a hand over her mouth.

The door was slammed shut and Alex slide down to her knees. Her sobs echoed in the house. No one understood why she was like this. That was until Roman realized what it was.

Riley came down, but something was of. And Roman knew why. The shimmer she had was dim. His eyes went wide with realizations. She just had her heart broken.

Roman looked at Riley and nodded, the sadness on her face was evident. Roman let out a sad sigh and walked up to Riley.

He laced his fingers with her and the tears Riley held came streaming down. He walked up the stairs, ready to comfort his baby girl.
