Comfort From Roman

He walked up to her room, his hand still with Riley's. He opened the door and Riley disappeared. When he walked, he took in the sight. Alex sprawled on her bed, her back facing the door. He smiled sadly. He went up to her bed and lifted her. Running his hands through her hair, he began to hum.

"What was his name, Princess?" He asked. It was silence before she answered. T-travis," she answered. He hummed, as if saying he was listening. Soon all her sides appeared and cuddled close to her. "I loved him, but I wasn't good enough to make him stay," she whispered, mostly to herself. Her words caught him of guard, and he looked at Vera. She was giving of a purple light. It meant she was giving Alex anxiety.

"Don't ever say that. He was dumb if he didn't stay," he comforted her. He looked over at Vera, her light dimmed down. An idea soon popped into his mind. He carried her bridal style. He began to sway her, knowing she would laugh. And she did. To make it even better, he began to sing Disney songs. From Brave all the way to Tangled. Before he knew it she was falling asleep in his arms. 

He set her down, she was still awake, but just barely. She looked at her, and moved some hair out of her hair. "Your too young to be this hurt," he stated. Alex smiled.

"I'm fourteen, Roman," she answered tiredly. He faked a gasp, and put his hand over his chest. "No, you're growing up to fast," he stated. She giggled and carressed his face. He kissed her palm, and held her hand.

He stared at her calm figure. Alex smiled at him. "Roman, can you tell me a story?" She asked. He sat on her bed and stroked her hair. He kissed her forehead. "Anything for my princess," he told her.

"There once was a brave queen named Alexa. She lived in a tower, with the best family and the most loyal subjects. One day she met a prince. The prince stole her heart, and they had such a pure love, no one could say otherwise. But sadly one day the prince had to leave on a quest. He was gone for many months, but he came back. And their love? Their love grew throughout the ages. And they ruled over the kingdom with a gentle hand. And never once did they give war. And never once did their love falter. And they lived happily ever after," he finished the story.

He looked down and saw her smiling figure. He slowly got up and kissed her forehead. "Everything is going to be okay, Princess," he told her sleeping self. He left her room. Well he was until he heard a faint voice call his name. "Roman," she called out. He turned to her. "Yes?" She smiled lazily in his direction. "Thank you for being my knight in shining armor and for the comfort," she told him. His smile grew.

"Sleep well," he told her while turning of her lights. He went down to the living room. He was met by the worried stares of Thomas and the Sides. He smiled reassuringly at them. "Don't worry. She's strong. She's going to be alright," he reassured them. He looked up, in the direction of the stairs.

"I know she is."
