Alex was walking around school, ready to leave for the day. She was passing by some kids when she heard something interesting. "I can't wait for the dance to," she stopped completely. The school dance. She remembered that tonight is the school dance. She and Travis were planning on going. But now since they weren't a couple and no one asked her, she maybe wasn't going. She sighed and left. Right now she just had to think this through.

She waited for Thomas outside. While doing so she tapped her foot on the cement. He finally pulled up and Alex got in. She looked so stress, and Thomas seemed to notice. "What's wrong, Shorty?" He asked. Alex sighed.

"I just remembered there's a dance tonight. And I have no one to go with, but that doesn't matter. So I thinking whether or not to go," she explained.

"Well if you don't plan on going, we can just stay on the couch and be unproductive," he joked. Alex laughed and relaxed. After their car ride, they pulled up to the house. Alex got out and went to her room. She went through her closet, looking for something comfortable to wear.

That was until she stumbled on her dress she got for the dance. She got it two weeks before the break up.

"Shorty, how do I look?" Travis struck a funny pose. He was wearing a button up, with some jeans. Alex laughed, while leaning against the door. "Nice pose," she joked. She went up to him and fixed his collar. "Got anything to wear do the dance yet?" He asked. Alex shook her head, whilst fixing his shirt. He sighed.

He grabbed her shoulders and made her sit down. She raised her eyebrow as if asking what is going on. Travis only looked at her, then left. Minutes later he came back with something behind his back. He gave to Alex. "Try it on," he suggested. Alex groaned, she wasn't to fond of dresses, but she still tried it on. And when she did, she loved it. She got out of the dressing room and showed Travis. She did a little spin and looked at him with an expecting stare. His mouth was open, and he was still, with his eyes wide. He was shocked of how beautiful she looked and she was all his.

"You look amazing."

She stared at the dress, why let a perfectly good dress go to waste. So she put it on and did her make up. But like the tomboy she was, she didn't wear flats or heels. No no, this girl wore her converse. She laughed at herself. She made her way down stairs. Once down, all eyes were on her. Her hand covered the blush of embarrassment. Roman came up to her. "You look exquisite, Princess," he told her. Alex gave him a smile. They all got in the car and drove off. Once at the school, Alex got off. She waved good bye.

Once entering the building, though, she felt out of place. Everyone was with someone, and all her friends weren't here. She felt she stood out, like a sore thumb. Making her way to the a table, she sat down. Leaning her hand against her hand, she sighed. Lost in her thoughts, her eyes began to wonder. But a hand on her shoulder made her escape her trance. She looked behind her. It was Virgil, in a suit.

"I thought you would be lonely, and you are my kid. So here I am," he stated, while extending his hand. Alex laughed grabbed his hand and made their way to the dance floor. It was the best school dance Alex has ever had, all thanks to the emo wonder, Virgil.
