Your (e/c) eyes snapped open. It was that dream again. The one with the lady and man. You sat up and yawned, pushing the dream from your head. You got up, showering and got dressed before going down to the kitchen, where you say your mother, (m/n) and your father, (f/n).
"Morning honey!" Your mother said and waved her wand as you sat. A plate came over, filled with your favorite breakfast. You smiled and started to eat when your father sighed. You looked at him. Your father was a muggle, your mother was a wizard. You all lived in a muggle area, but your mother didn't mind, neither did you.
"So, Hogwarts huh?" He said. You rolled your eyes. He has been saying that since you got your letter.
"Yes dad, Hogwarts." You said. You never knew why he was saying that.
"You know I'm just going to worry about you pumpkin." He said. You felt a hand go on your shoulder and looked. It was your mom.
"We both are." She said. You smiled.
"Mom, Dad, I will be OK. Hogwarts will be fun. You guys took me away from a bad home, and from what I have been hearing about Hogwarts, its not bad." You said. you saw them look at each other. You saw a bit of pain in their eyes and you felt bad about what you said. They hadn't told you much of your birth family, only that they had saved you the day you were born and that remebering it hurt them.
"Mom, Dad, I'm sorry." You said, standing up and hugged your mother. You then moved and hugged your father. They had been worried about Hogwarts, but didn't seem worried about Diagon ally and getting your supplies and books.
"It's OK Honey. Come on, lets get you to the train." Your mother said. You nodded and walked out the door. You did live far from the station, but your parents insisted that they walk with you. You didn't mind. You loved your family and they had done everything for you. Once at the station, you got your bags on and ran up, giving your mother and father one last hug.
"I love you guys." You said. They hugged you.
"And we love you." They both said. You then ran back on and waved to them as the train left. You sat down and smiled. You couldn't wait for this year and looked up, seeing a boy in the compartment. He had blond, slicked back hair. You didn't realize the compartment had someone in it.
"Sorry. I can leave if you want." You said. They boy, who was looking out the window, turned and looked at you.
"No, your fine." He said, turning back to look outside. You nodded and heard a knock and the door opened. It showed a boy.
"Hey, you mind if I sit here?" He asked. You nodded, the other boy shook his head.
"Ignore him, sure. I'm (y/n)." You said as the boy sat by you after closing the door.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Harry, Harry Potter." He said. You remembered that name. He had destroyed the dark lord.
"Really? That's cool." You said. You didn't understand why he was so famous, but then again every time you asked as a child, your parents didn't answer. You only knew a bit from the strangers that talked about it as they walked by.
"Potter huh?" You looked, seeing the blond kid.
"Um, yeah." Harry said. The kid smiled.
"Names Draco Malfoy." Draco said and extended his hand. Harry took it and shook it.
"Nice to meet you." Harry smile. Draco smiled and looked at you.
"And...you." He said kind of rudely.
"I'm (y/n) (l/n)." You said. Draco nodded.
"Alright. Well Potter, you must love all the attention." Draco said and Harry shook his head.
"Not really. I don't like it at all. I just want to go to school and learn cool wizard stuff." Harry said. You laughed and you saw Draco was trying not to laugh also.
"Well, I cant argue that." Draco said. You smiled and a knock came to the door. You walked up and looked, seeing the trolley lady.
"Anything off the trolley?" She asked you looked and got three chocolate frogs, Cauldron cakes, and jelly slugs. You paid and closed the door, handing one of each item to Harry and Darco. Harry smiled but Draco looked cautious at the candy.
"Why did you buy me some?" Draco asked. You smiled at him.
"Well, I was hoping we could be friends." You said. Draco looked a bit shocked.
"Friends? With me?" Draco asked. You nodded.
"Yeah, well you and Harry." You said. Harry smiled. Draco's face went from shocked to a smile.
"I guess I never really had friends before." He said. You smiled at him.
"And now you have two." You said. Draco laughed a bit and the train ride went smooth. And soon, everyone was in the great hall. McGonagall called a boy named Neville Longbottom, who was just placed into Gryffindor. Now a girl named Susan Bones and she was sorted into Hufflepuff.
"(y/n) (l/n)." McGonagall yelled. You walked up and sat on the stool. The hat was placed on you.
"Interesting. Your mind is a network of thoughts, always thinking and planing. Your also cleaver, you can get out of many problems. Your heart is kind, like your soul, willing and wanting to help your friends. Your bravery is also high, you would run into danger if that's what is asked of you. you have talent of all four houses, more then others. Where should I put you... Ravenclaw would help with your smarts, but Slytherin could help you improve with your cunning nature. Perhaps Hufflepuff. the friends you make their will last a life time. No, No I don't think any of these will work. You need to be with other like you. Where they are brave and daring and that house is Gryffindor!" The sorted hat yelled. You smiled and ran over, sitting down as others clapped for you. You looked over, seeing Harry was now sitting down.
"Gryffindor!" You heard and jumped up, clapping. Harry ran over and hugged you, sitting by you.
~Draco's POV~
I walked as (y/n) and Harry sat down. I sighed.
"Draco Malfoy." I heard and walked up, sitting down.
"Ah, another Malfoy. I know what to do with you, Sly...whats this?" The sorting sat said. I was silent.I was thinking of Gryffindor, but I know my family have been Slytherin's for generations.
"You want to be with your friends? That's not how this works, That Neville boy begged me to go into Hufflepuff, but I saw in his heart that Gryffindor was his true house, just like Slytherin is for you." The sorting hat stopped again.
"Then let me prove you wrong." I said, hoping he would see the bravery in me.
"Prove me wrong. Young man, I am nine hundred and eighty-seven years old and never, I say never, have I been proven wrong." The hat said. I bit my lip. I guess Slytherin really is my house.
"But...It would be interesting to see if a cunning Slytherin can make it. Gryffindor!" The hat yelled.
~Your POV~
You smiled and hugged Draco, who hugged you back and highfived Harry and sat across from you both. You got into the house and best of all, your friends were with you. Hogwarts was going to be fun.
~A/N~ So I decided to put Draco in Gryffindor because it will go better with the story. This is based on a Scenario (Think DnD) I have done with my Fiance.
