Chapter 71 - A Friend in Disguise

Snape looked at you. 

"Have you been in contact with Harry or Draco?" Snape asked. You glared at him. 

"Like I would tell you." You said. Snape sighed, taking is wand out.

"Muffliato." Snape said and put his wand away. 

"I'm working with Dumbledore. I was meant to kill him, not Crabbe but it seems like he wants to follow in his fathers footsteps. I know you don't trust me, but if you want to let them know whats going on, this is where you would do it." Snape said. You looked up at Dumbledore's painting and he nodded with a smile. You looked back at Snape. 

"No. I haven't sent them anything. I don't know where they are either." You said. Snape nodded. 

"I have seen what Crabbe and Goyle do to you. I'm sorry about that. I tried to get he who should not be named to stop it, but I couldn't." Snape said. You looked at him in confusion. 

"Why are you helping me?" You asked. Snape gave a small smile. 

"Because he killed someone very close to me. I want to stab him in the back for that." Snape answered. You smiled. 

"Thank you Headmaster." You said. Snape then stood.  

"I will call you to my office every week. I told he who should not be named I would break your mind by using the Cruciatus Curse on you, but what I will be doing is giving you some free time. Act like I am getting to you. Trust me." Snape said. You nodded at that. 

"Also, I will talk to your father and see if I can get him to say that you can stay here for Christmas so that I can contuine to get you to work for him." Snape said and took his wand out, removing the spell. 

"You may go." Snape said. You stood, bowed and left. You walked down to the dungeons and into the Slytherin common room, where Crabbe said you had to be now. Crabbe and Goyle were up and waiting for you. Crabbe stood and walked to you, taking your hand in his. 

"Did Snape get to you?" Crabbe asked you. You looked at him, a bit scared. Crabbe smiled, laughed a bit and looked at Goyle. 

"She will be one of us before Christmas." Crabbe said. Goyle laugh. 

"I-I want to sleep." You said. Crabbe let you go and you ran to the girls dorm. You saw a few other girls but they were all sleeping. You laid down and smiled. This will buy Harry and Draco time.
