Chapter 42 - The Yule Ball

The ball was all that anyone could talk about. Everyone was shocked when Hermione said that Victor had asked her but you were more excited about Draco. He had started to hold your hand when you walked to class and how Ginny was spending more time with Harry. 

"What color is your dress (y/n)?" Draco asked you the night before the ball. You smiled. 

"(favorite color). It's got a slit down the side up to the knee and is opened back, why?" You asked. Draco smiled. 

"You will see." He said. You giggled and then Harry ran over. 

"Guys! Guys! Guess what?" He asked. You smiled.

"What?" Draco asked. 

"I found out what the clue is. Ginny helped me." Harry said. 

"That's good! What is it?" You asked. Harry told you about how the next clue is in the black lake. 

"How are you going to breath under water?" You asked. Harry shrugged. 

"I'm not sure." Harry said. You sighed a bit but smiled. 

"It's OK. Hey, make sure you save me a dance, OK Harry." You said. Harry smiled and laughed a bit. 

"If that's OK with your boyfriend." Harry said, nudging you. You blushed a bit. Draco never officially asked you to be his girlfriend but Draco gave a chuckle. 

"Yeah, I don't mind at all." Draco said. You blushed a bit more. D-did Draco just admit to being your boyfriend. Harry laughed a bit. 

The following night, you put your dress on and styled your hair. You looked in the mirror.    

"You look beautiful." You heard and turned. It was Ginny. You smiled. 

"So do you." You said. She smiled and you both walked down the stairs together. You saw Harry and Draco. Both looked handsome but Draco, he looked stunning. 

"Wow." Draco said as you walked down. You blushed. He too blushed and held out his hand. 

"Um, I got you something." He said and took out a red corsage. You watched him put it on your wrist. 

"It's beautiful." You said. Draco smiled. 

"It's nothing like you." Draco said. You were sure your face was just as red as the rose. He took your hand and lead you into the room. You stood with him and watched as the champions walked in and when the music started to play, they danced. You smiled but then Draco took your hand and began to dance with you.   

"I'm sorry about yesterday." Draco said. You were confused. 

"About what?" You asked. Draco smiled. 

"I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend tonight but Harry kinda spoiled it." Draco said. You smiled. 

"No he didn't." You said. Draco looked into your (e/c) eyes.

"(y/n), will you go out with me?" He asked. You felt like crying. 

"Yes." You said. Draco smiled and leaned in, giving you a kiss on the lips. You kissed him back. 

That night was filled with dancing and laughing and just plain fun. You danced with Draco and Harry but nothing compared to Draco asking you to be his girlfriend.
